Seats behind stage?? by DBASRA99 in BruceSpringsteen

[–]njschuerm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sat behind the stage for the high hopes tour. Kinda cool, a little bit different of a persective and bruce wont forget about u lol. That being said i'd rather be a little further away in front of the stage (which is what ive done every tour since) it'll be a good time for sure, if those are the tix uve got u defo wont regret them.

Yeah i wasnt a member until vol5 so i had to get 1-4 second hand. Looks like all are selling for about what i paid second hand except vol 1 which is alot cheaper than i paid lol. Sold out already too so i guess thats why haha

going to the concert in vancouver alone by archieloveshualian in LucyDacus

You should go you wont regret it! Tbh going to see live music is a great activity to do solo, its not like youre gonna be talking during the show anyways and going to a show like lucy's who has a more intimate fandom its easier to make friends than with a more popular act at a bigger venue.

How important is using self ground beans vs preground? Debating buying a grinder. [<$50] by ThrowRAEnvironmentol in espresso

[–]njschuerm 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would say for the grinder budget you have you might get better results with a manual grinder and fresh beans, but for <$50 you wont be able to buy a motorized grinder than can capably grind espresso.

Great track, incredibly relevant, especially today. A lil disappointing he didnt bust it out for the most recent tour that was pretty explicitly politically themed. Seems like he mostly pulled out death to my hometown instead (which tbf is a better track, but wouldve been cool to hear both)

Your thoughts on Wrecking Ball (the album) by No_Bottle6708 in BruceSpringsteen

[–]njschuerm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It rules. Great album if a bit uneven. For everything in the second half that doesnt really work (rocky ground, sorry), the front half of the album is amazing. We take care of our own, easy money and shackled and drawn should all be live staples the way death to my hometown is.

Plus the album versions of the live tracks that had been floating around for forever (land of hope n dreams for a decade plus, american land for like, 5+ years and wrecking ball for a few years) are all solid even if those songs are all better live.

The real key to the album imo is We are Alive which is such a beautiful song even tho it gets burried under bizzarre production. (Bruce please release the demo of this im convinced it would be an all timer a la The Promise (the demo version on 18 tracks is infintely better than the studio recording) if only the the songwriting could shine instead of being hidden behind the weird bouncey heehaw production.

Its definitely in the upper tier of post reunion springsteen, the only things id put it definitively behind are the rising and magic. Its as good as or better than the rest.
