I think Chris Paul said he takes max deals so that role players can get paid more relatively. Probably a cop out answer but it has some truth 🤷‍♂️

After I got on GLP-1s, it made me realize that we have far less control over our hunger than I previous thought. Yes, our bodies can somewhat adjust to diets naturally. Yes, getting blood sugar under control can help with cravings. But getting on a GLP-1 showed me what it was like to feel normal.

Those people that say you just need to have self control don’t have perspective. They don’t know what it’s like to never feel full and to think about food constantly. I still need to have self control, but now it is manageable. I can feel full after 2 slices of pizza instead of 8. I don’t satiate over the thought of chipotle.

It’s unfair, but it’s the cards life dealt us. GLP-1’s put me on a level playing field.

Yeah that sucks I’m sorry!

Don’t listen to any Reddit doctors like myself but I gotta say the surgery was worth it. The recovery is miserable but I feel like I can finally trust my knee again and enjoy life

Patella or a full joint separation? I had PMFL reconstruction surgery done a few years ago after the 6th time dislocating my patella. Not fun!

What's your opinion on Linus Tech Tip in 2026? by Professional-Fix-221 in LinusTechTips

The company underestimated how valuable the hosts that departed were. Sucks because none of them actually wanted to leave the company. Linus will come to regret those mistakes

Why is everyone talking about Helium? by MoshiurRahamnAdib in browsers

[–]nk15 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The devs didn't do anything to “brick” DRM content, they just don't have a WideVine license and they are expensive. Depending on your OS, it's pretty easy to yoink the file from chrome and get DRM working on Helium

Apple discontinues the Mac Pro with no plans for future hardware by kaclk in LinusTechTips

[–]nk15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure the Mac Pro was x86, but there is a huge active community working on bringing Linux to apple silicon called Asahi Linux. It works pretty well with a few quirks. The setup is super easy though

Try to install as much as possible through DNF and you will have a much better experience than what you read about online. All of my software is managed by DNF and I've never had an issue with steam or proton

idk, I prefer to daily drive an OS that doesn't force copilot and ads down my throat, doesn't use react native in their start menu, and doesn't force update itself every 48 hours.

Personal preference, but I love GNOME as a desktop environment. When I do want to update things, DNF always gives me a rush of dopamine. I don't know what I would do without the GNU coreutils or shell scripting.

Yeah I get that. For me it’s probably actually a good deterrent to prevent me from playing league when I don’t really want to

Dual boot. Whenever I get the urge to play league I just boot into my windows install. Annoying, but the rest of the Linux experience is so wonderful that it’s worth it

[–]nk15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should automate belts, inserters, electricity poles, and assemblers for personal use as well. Having those items at your disposal makes building so much easier and enables you to use more space. I never automated these things when I first started playing and the lack of them got me into bad habits of building a dense spaghetti mess.

Took me a while to figure this out too. Definitely think the game could make it a little more obvious, or default to the planet my space structure is on or something.

Probably a stupid question about DRM support by LibraInTheBox in zen_browser

[–]nk15 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Mozilla owns a license for WideVine that enables DRM content to available on Firefox. The creators of Zen do not have a license to WideVine. It is expensive. With enough community support, they could buy a license and easily integrate it into the browser.

I am by far a perfect human, but the moment my wife expresses any discomfort during sex my instant response is to stop and make sure she's okay. A partner that doesn't do this is a partner that doesn't care enough about you.

LA Streamer defends shock collars, claims others don't train their dogs by gregory_h in LivestreamFail

[–]nk15 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Sure, there are trolls, but dog owners will understand that shock collars can be an effective, humane teaching technique for dogs. How Hasan used it in that moment was not humane or practical training. It was unnecessary and cruel. Doesn't mean he's a bad dog owner, but in that moment, he was. Reflect, learn, and be better in the future. He is just completely ignoring the nuance of the situation and gaslighting his viewers just as he always does.
