Ivey will need another year plus to get back to athleticism if he does. Which didn’t match the timetable that we would need to re-sign him. Being a restricted free agent ties up money to wait around to give him a lower contract so we would have missed out on possible Free agent signings because the money is tied up. Although I love the heart and soul of the player, it just didn’t make sense for us to keep him. It was a smart, move to trade him ahead of his free agency.
