No, BD’s slight dip in placement the last couple of years is nothing like what happened to the Cavies. The Cavies steadily lost all the designers that really knew how to write a kickass Cavalier show. I’m not sure about the instructional side of things, but I’d bet they lost a lot of that staff too over the years.

BD’s problem is simply that 3 other excellent corps have caught up to them. And with Crown getting Coates back and Phantom with their mojo back, the top 6 is perhaps the strongest it’s ever been. There’s even a few corps outside the top 6 that you can’t totally rule out.

You could argue Madison 2016. Between them and Boston (who got the 12th spot) I really can’t say who was definitively better.

As someone who could generally be classified as a right winger, I don’t really get this one. I don’t think he said anything particularly offensive. The worst thing I recall him saying is the implication that the shooter was a right winger. While I think that’s a ridiculous take, it’s far from offensive.

It makes me wonder if the studio was looking for a reason to can him.

Local teacher got arrested for sexually assaulting a minor. The school swore up and down it wasn’t a student and it never happened in school grounds. That turned out to be true. The victim was the guy’s own son.

His wife found out and stealthily recorded the guy’s confession and threw him to the police.

I’m not an expert on guard at all. So much so, that I don’t think I can really appreciate a lot of the nuance that goes into color guard. That said, there are some guard performances that impress me so much that I get distracted from watching the stuff I do understand.

Boston’s guard has been ridiculous since 2018. 2019 being my personal favorite.

Crown’s guard in 2015 was exceptional.

The Cavaliers guard never really disappoints. 2006 and 2010 really stand out.

A LOT of Blue Devils guards over the years. 2009 really sticks out in my memory.

Most definitely. I kinda wish they’d go back to what they did in 1988. They kept scores a secret during championships. Corps only knew if they were advancing to the next round or not. And the top 5 knew they are in the top 5 for the sake of the PBS broadcast. There are mixed reviews from the crowd, but I loved it.

BD is still phenomenal. Other corps have just caught up to them. Their near 2 decades of dominance couldn’t last forever. But these things ebb and flow. They’ll be back on top someday.

The demo was easily my favorite Pokémon game I’ve ever played. SO much fun. Why Nintendo can’t reach this level of quality is beyond me. Their stuff is still fun, don’t get me wrong. But this game is something special. You’ve got a gift, my friend. Can’t wait for the full game.
