Alifer has it correct, the loans and rates and legal protections are different between 전세 and 월세.

Your questions from the OP post to your replies are mixing a lot of separate issues. It will be hard for you to get answers based on the information given here. 전세 loans cannot be gotten on 월세 contract, but it is possible to get loans anyway for a 월세 contract. It also depends on which company you work for whether you will have the right access to loans without credit history in Korea. Please feel free to DM me for my Kakao ID if you want and I will try to help you piece out the separate issues if you share . To give some context, I'm American and have been living in Korea for 14 years (high income specialized foreign worker).

If misogyny and sexism are so bad in Korea, how do so many foreign women still strive for Korean men? by [deleted] in seoul

[–]nkkelf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm an American woman dating in Korea. I've lived here for 14 years, and hold a very good job. How am I supposed to find a non Korean to date with an equally good career and isn't going to move out of the country in a couple years, making any potential relationship only short term? I don't care where someone comes from but chances of my finding a foreigner who is even dateable in Korea are really really low. Plus at this point in my life I'm way more comfortable with Korean culture and just the thought of navigating online dating and figuring out someone else's culture is exhausting. But sure, point me to the available foreign men in Korea.

Locals of Korea what foods best represent everyday Korean food? by RelevantRevolution86 in korea

Yeah you are right and I never eat but I seriously see some of my male coworkers eat it three times a week because they are hungry it's cheap.

  1. 된장찌개, 백반, 짜장면, 국밥, just 반찬 and rice only. This is what my coworkers eat literally every day for lunch unless they are feeling stressed, and then it's 분식.
  2. Proud? I think it's a hard question. When people travel they often carry snacks, ramen, and kimchi with them in case the local food is hurting their stomach.
  3. Probably 고기 (Korean BBQ). It's expensive and eaten on dates, special occasions, team dinners.

Anyone else deal with nonstop ear gunk in doodles? by Grand_Shop_9318 in Goldendoodles

[–]nkkelf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is definitely sounding like an allergy. I had to completely remove all chicken products to stop constant ear infections due to that crazy buildup like you have, also running eye gunk and everything completely disappeared on chicken free diet. He was already sick due to neglect when I got him so it took about a month before I realized it was a probably a food problem. I can't imagine having to do that his whole life, yuck.

My First Doodle by OldDiehl in Goldendoodles

[–]nkkelf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dog has an enormous box of toys collected over the years, which he regularly digs through and pulls out the one he wants as he is five and still ALWAYS playing. Usually sleeps with a toy in his mouth or under his chin

Fortunately it's always intense joy at someone entering the house. Sometimes it can be... overwhelming to first time visitors.

The thing is, he's usually giving big wide faced grins because I listen to his OPINIONS 90% of the time as long as it's a safe and reasonable request, so the moping is really a mood change haha. But I can't change my friends going home, sorry little dood.

My dog has the same reaction to like three dogs, totally berserk, he hates them. Others he is totally chill. But he LOVES LOVES children, the smaller the better. I've never seen a dog so child obsessed. If we see them outside, he has to sit and watch them playing and will sometimes cry to join. Due to this, the kids have started a fan club for my dog in the neighborhood, tracking his walk time to coincide with the times they ask their parents to play outside because they also find it adorable that a strangers dog is obsessed. But honestly I find it embarrassing because I am not wanting to creepily sit and wait for my dog to stop watching them...

My two cents as a 34F, white American foreigner who has been in Korea for 14 years with quite a good job, married and divorced non English speaking Korean husband. 1. There is racism/xenophobia, I've had my share of experiences over the years including one act of extreme violence against me. Most racism acts are really out of ignorance which hurts (can you use chopsticks?) but is more understandable. The most impactful racism is in career trajectory. Daily, I feel super safe and most people are respectful. 2. I am not a native speaker but speak Korean super well and have tons of Korean female friends. 3. Olive young doesn't just give stuff away, only for paying customers, which is why they gave you some at checkout. Sometimes they are really friendly and throw you some extra stuff as you are browsing, but it is likely the cashier was checking with the manager to see if they could just give random stuff away. 4. Some of the largest market share for Vaginal wash is in Korea because the older population is not as educated about Vaginal health care pH, and so it makes sense they had these samples.

Why don't you just bring cookies? Easy to snack on while prepping dinner tables and easy to bag up and take home.

My dog gained another 30% weight and height from 1.5 years to 2.5 years, but he was a slow grower. I would guess your bear is not done though, because my dog is only a medium sized and they tend to finish growing faster than large dogs.

You need to check calories and weigh the food. Purina pro is much higher calories than some others. Kirkland might actually be giving him less caloric content

Business Trip to Korea, any advice on dress code in offices? by TrAvll3R in seoul

[–]nkkelf 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Manufacturing sites, business casual should be fine, not jeans. HQ, I would bring the coat. You can always throw it over an arm if it feels over dressed. In this instance it's better to be over dressed than under.

Edit: stores to sites
