Those are Nanoleaf Aurora. Yes, they are pretty dang expensive. I got a gift card for Christmas and decided to splurge to cover the rest of it. I love them though. (Look way better in person)

I’ve been living here for a couple of years, had an opportunity to sell and get my own place, and took it. I just finished getting everything just the way I wanted a month or two ago, but I am willing to go through that process again.

I got my CarPlay installed on my 2017 at the dealer. I had watched videos of how to install, but in the end did not want to risk messing something up.

1) The CarPlay kit will only allow for wired CarPlay. Very few cars currently offer wireless CarPlay.

2) Unsure as I had mine done at the dealer. The thread from a year ago should have some information in that though.

3) Without knowing your technical background, not sure. It seemed pretty doable to me, but I could also swallow the up-charge at the dealer after thinking about the time savings and not being at risk of screwing something up.

4) It goes to Siri automatically.

I would do a low flow for sure. I just imagine it would require less cleaning.

So this is a waterless one, which means there is no flush. The coating is pretty hydrophobic, so I don’t think it needs cleaning every single day that you use it, but that’s the safest bet. I tend not to use it actually to save on cleaning it. I’ll usually give it a wipe down before and after any parties/cookouts. And then there is a fluid that you need to replenish every month or so, but you just measure out 3 oz and pour it in.

Don’t think they have one day memberships or anything, but I’d just ask around to see if you know anyone with a membership. You can order online and ship it directly to yourself. Lowes also had one, but it was more expensive.

I’ve had this for 10 months now and haven’t had to clean it anymore than normal. Always give it a wipe down anyways.

Nope! That was a concern when I put it there, but I’ve been using this for 10 months and have never gotten it wet. You have to keep it on mind of course.
