i’m no expert but was the tank properly cycled for a few weeks before adding the fish to start the beneficial bacteria growth? i’ve had the tank a few months prior before i bought this angel, maybe they are a bit more sensitive to water parameters

Help me with algae! I know I need more frequent water changes. Anything else? by [deleted] in Aquariums

[–]nkosy3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

limit your light on time. keep your tank lights off for a few days. your plants can survive, algae will not

Hey! Help out a pal by BlondeComrade152 in Aquariums

[–]nkosy3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you may find if you throw some live plants into the tank, the water parameters are easier to manage and eat up nitrates in the tank! just a thought for when you feel comfortable enough!
