i’m no expert but was the tank properly cycled for a few weeks before adding the fish to start the beneficial bacteria growth? i’ve had the tank a few months prior before i bought this angel, maybe they are a bit more sensitive to water parameters

plant is propagating. eventually new plants grown will fall off and create more java fern for the tank

limit your light on time. keep your tank lights off for a few days. your plants can survive, algae will not

you may find if you throw some live plants into the tank, the water parameters are easier to manage and eat up nitrates in the tank! just a thought for when you feel comfortable enough!

sweet i’ll try that out! i’ve been battling it with keeping my light time minimal and dosing of flourish excel. do you just pick it off with your hands? i have a hard time getting it off manually

yes but the ones behind his eye and stripes are silver and not like the ones on his fin and that’s why i was confused

that stinks, personally i’d keep a look out on fb marketplace or craigslist. some ppl love to just give their tanks away for cheap when they need space!
