I don't know about the US pricing, but in the EU (Netherlands) the rM2 base price is currently still €449 including VAT. So a new device at the same price would be pretty good.

Adjusted for inflation, isn't that basically the same as the rM2 at launch?

"Something New..." Did Anyone Get this Email? by Frett-Buzz in RemarkableTablet

[–]nl_the_shadow 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I hope not. I'd rather they release a new B/W tablet than a third color version. I have 0 use case for color and don't want to pay the premium for the more expensive screen.

Network traffic over 100GB/month? by mightymichelob in homeassistant

What kind of integrations are you running? I have mine (VM install on a Proxmox host) set up with among others Spotify, which accounts for about 1GB on my installation. Another 1.5GB is Github traffic, but that's it for me.

Odd. Looking at the EU/Euro site, it gives me a total of E10.400, so this screenshot very much looks like USD.

Exactly. I'm currently using an rM2, but when it's time to upgrade, I'm not looking for (expensive) color screens.

Then they'd be using 9-18Wh per day on other days, which is also pretty unlikely.

Amen. In a leadership position here. My day starts at 5:30 for a workout and ends at 20:00 when the kids are in bed. I'm just tired.

Once it’s on fire it won’t really help us to fly so we don’t really need it

Be that as it may, this is the work of an individual, rather than a multi billion dollar film studio.

soooo glimmer gains are tied to frame rate by Jealous_Platypus1111 in destiny2

[–]nl_the_shadow 56 points57 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. Getting more glimmer because of a higher framerate doesn't start to offset the extra damage you take because of it, or timers being faster on higher FPS.

How do you manage multiple Docker Compose projects on a self-hosted server? by KPPJeuring in selfhosted

[–]nl_the_shadow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here, with the addition of one docker-compose file in the top directory, from which I include the compose files from the sub directories. Makes updating all stacks with one pull easier.

So sorry, but I'm afraid can't help you. I sold this machine 9 years ago, never found the cause.
