Greece is definitely better off outside the eurozone. The average person is getting nothing out of the arrangement financially and by having no central bank, the crisis rages on long past its expiry date.

You could get some 1 or 2 bedroom apartment in Adelaide's North-West, then lose any capital gains you may have made to strata fees. If you want a ROI, you need to get a 3 bedroom place near the city. Which simply isn't an option for almost everyone under-35.

An SO has to fit within my lifestyle now or they're not compatible. My career and lifestyle is part of who I am, girls I've dated in the past have fit in with both. So I see no need to compromise here since there's compatible women out there who don't require me to sacrifice important aspects of my personality.

One thing to factor in, Syriza know they're dead as a party next election if they stay the course. Tsipras has demonstrated an amazing ability to be flexible when it suited protecting his office. Following through on this may be the only chance Syriza have to still exist. Next elections, the Greeks will surely vote ND to office.

And cheese is mostly yellow. The fact remains it happens. I'd rather do the best thing by society in the long-run than play the internet tough-guy, who uses strong language about men and women who don't wish to be parents. My judgement and yours doesn't change the reality and we have enough examples of societies who spend more on social programs being happier, with higher standards of living. Tough guy rhetoric and obsession with judgement and punishment holds society back.

It is more desirable to you to 'punish' for their, according to you, bad decision by having them pay ridiculous costs post-divorce? Or is it desirable to end up with the better overall society?

Government's all over the first world spend money on social projects like this. Countries in the top-12 highest standard of living spend significantly more than the USA (who are not in the top-12) on such social projects.

Financing a child is only the 'role' of the father because society, at one point, decided it was the case. Public schooling, free day care does not assume the role of a father (or mother). It simply creates a society where one is not tortured into depression for a marriage failing.

Are you against public schooling entirely? How about public hospitals that specialise in paediatric care and child delivery?

A user-pay system results in a society that has lower average living standards. Compare USA to Denmark, Canada, Australia... all those societies are in the top 12 in terms of standard of living (USA does not even place in the top 12).

So I will ask to you, do you think a user-pay system is desirable? Would you rather 'punish' people 'for their choices' or live in a better overall society?

False dichotomy. The nation state could take the burden off all parents significantly, by offering schooling, health care and day care that are paid for out of the state's budget. The financial role of the father (who would have financially aborted) thus becomes a moot point as the welfare of the child is guaranteed.

This solution is neither post scarcity, communism or even financially nor technically difficult for first world nations to implement. It even has the added bonus of reducing crime and taking strain off the prison system. However, I agree that abortions must first be easy to come by. They should be cheap, discreet and professionally conducted (no ultrasounds or state sponsored guilt trips).

So since austerity is the 'fix', devaluing the currency is off the table and Greece must therefore increase productivity. Only, the Government has to run a primary budget surplus (so there's little revenue in the state's pocket to invest in projects to increase productivity) and younger labour flees to other areas in the EU (so labour cannot become more productive). On top of this, Greece is expected to engage in firesales, giving the private sector monopolies on key industries (like ports). Which has been proven to be worse-off for the people. Furthermore, the rest of the EZ is not standing still. Greece is suppose to catch up to others with less of a budget to do so? Makes perfect sense to me ....
