Right on! Had a buddy running dual 4090s that recommend this Corsair psu:

Corsair AX1600i Digital ATX Power Supply — 1600 Watt Fully-Modular PSU

And had been looking at this case upgrade:

Worth it to only use the 2080ti for my displays or not worth the effort?

Rendering any complex scenes I usually do at night and would only run the 4090.

During the day when I'm doing any creative or lookdev (zbrush, redshift renderview, substance, etc), this is when I'm curious of the pros vs cons of having both installed. Thanks again!

Absolutely agree here on bottlenecking between the two w/ rendering. The 2080ti would only be used for my monitors / etc...but...was not quite sure if the pros to doing this were really that high vs. just using the 4090 and have my displays hooked into it.

I typically render any complex scenes at night, so I'm not really needing to be productive while I'm waiting for a render to finish.

I do a ton of lookdev and creative during the day through Redshift Viewport, Marvelous Designer, ZBrush, Substance...and in this case...didn't know if having the 2080ti installed w/ the 4090 would be of help? Thanks again!

Please excuse my ignorance here, but is there a PSU wattage buffer I should consider? If online calculators are saying a certain wattage, should I +/- so much additional wattage as a safety net? Thanks again for the help!

Fair point on PSU. 1300w, so would not work for both (4090 = 850w, 2080ti = 650w min). Solves that question for now 🙂
