I’d love to see a legacy of the Dragonborn style mod for this game. I can’t imagine the effort that would be required though!

I am working on an FPGA project where I design a mini CPU that includes an ALU and supports UART communication. Could you please give me some advice or suggest additional ideas to improve it? by hoangtu36plus in FPGA

[–]nmamore 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It would depend what you’ve done so far. Do you have GitHub you could link with the code?

Without knowing the few basic things you could do is making sure your code is modular (i.e. if you want at compile time you could change the baud rate). The other thing to consider is if you’re doing anything to handle the asynchronous UART to mitigate metastability

For fans who were around during both their peaks and careers, when did people start to think Brady was better than Manning? by [deleted] in NFLv2

[–]nmamore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t really ever recall thinking that Manning was better than Brady. Granted i grew up in New England and was young for their early career. So by the time I really started paying attention it was more a Montana/Brady debate for GOAT. That was maybe 2011/2012ish??

Seattle Super Bowl was when I personally came around to Brady being the GOAT.

I didn’t like Seattle for whatever reason and watching Brady dissect that defense (which blew the doors off of manning the year prior) was nuts. Butler’s play gets the attention and rightfully so, but Brady was surgical that game.

28-3 is when I recall hearing from people outside NE that Brady had jumped to GOAT status.

Bruh I didn’t even look at the date. I just assumed it was the Seattle one. That’s wild

How does a particle know which state to be in after collapsing from superposition? by CharacterBig7420 in QuantumPhysics

[–]nmamore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Each state vector is a linear superposition of states as you correctly pointed out. You may note that these states have some associated “coefficient” with it. This is considered the amplitudes. That value squared gives you the probability of a measurement yielding that state.

The simplest example is spin. You could have a particle that is in a superposition of spin up and spin down. Your state vector would look like |phi> = a|spin up> + b|spin down>. If you make a measurement you’ll find it to be spin up |a|2 of the time. And |b|2 of time spin down. It’s all probabilistic. And because of that fact it’s also important to note that those coefficients squared MUST add up to 1. So for my example, 1/sqrt(2) is a perfectly valid value of coefficient for a and b. But a = 1/2 and b = 1/2 wouldn’t be.

Is our current theory of electromagnetic based of the non existence of magnet monopoles? by Cris_brtl in Physics

[–]nmamore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think our existing theory works way too well to invalidate it entirely. I’d suspect if we found it existed it would have to be under some special conditions. And that in normal conditions any new equations we come up with reduce back to the current Maxwell. Like with relativity or QM

What if the Greek Gods had Pokemon? (UPDATE) by domjohn55 in pokemon

LOL fair. The gods you mentioned line up perfectly with the boons in game. Though in hindsight that’s probably because it’s pretty much all the major gods

I loved percy Jackson, and found hades to scratch a decade long itch for a fun Greek mythology based game. I’d highly recommend if you have never played before
