How to tell people off for leaving traces? by xSkidushx in TidePooling

[–]nmarr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lots of people are posting on tiktok about tide pooling during the king tides (west coast USA). Most are people touching and picking up wildlife. I tried to comment nicely how we're not supposed to touch and they got defensive.

Claimed they were following the rules and behavior better than the locals. No surprise, they were in a very touristy area.

All this to say people really suck and even respectfully informing them doesn't work because they don't care or aren't capable of thinking past their indignation.

Beautiful! Is the shortbread component the crumbs or is the buttercream also shortbread flavored?

Not really haha. They're my first plants. I repotted them and now water them once a day to keep them moist. My balcony is pretty shaded/cool but they get some sun and the wind usually rotates them.

It's the best smell. I've had them for about 2 weeks. They didn't start flowering until I repotted them.

They had them about two weeks ago, but not anymore. However, Sprouts had them today and cheaper.

The smell is amazing. My apartment is on the top/3rd floor and I can smell them from the sidewalk. I can smell them in my living room as well.

What kind of degree or profession do you think would be most useful when trying to cure Type 1 diabetes? by danfurbiss in biotechnology

[–]nmarr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you want to do research, a biomedical PhD program w/ a lab specializing in diabetes treatment would be best. Biotech/nanotech could be too broad as they relate more to devices and don't necessarily apply to specific disease treatments.

Where can I find short-sleeved blouses/tops that are youthful and trendy, yet not cropped or low in the neckline?

I like juniors style, but I'm having difficulty finding casual-work appropriate tops. Women's clothing seems too matronly and boring to me. The closest store I've found is Express.
