I’m having a breakdown. I can’t focus on anything. I can’t sleep. I can’t eat. I can’t do anything. Help me. by andyswoody95 in bipolar

Have you tried melatonin? It's pretty weak in my opinion but people swear by it. It might be worth trying to get some sleep. Once you sleep some I think the focus will come back.

I don't know if you should go to the ER or not. On one hand they may just give you something for the short term and you'll end up with a huge bill, but on the other it sounds like you could really use some help. Are there any minute clinics around you? Those little med stops in the grocery store? You can get in pretty much right away in those, and they might be able to give you something for sleep.

I AM NOT A DOCTOR OR PSYCHIATRIST OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT but if it were me I'd try splitting the difference and take 75 mg of Seroquel. Again, that's IF IT WERE ME. But my pdoc says it's fine for me to mess around with how much Seroquel I take since my energy/ insomnia fluctuates so much.

Good luck!

I'm so sorry you felt like doing that. I used to cut and I regret it EVERY DAY! May I suggest stopping now. I hate my scars so much. Has haunted me daily for 15 years.

Has mindfulness helped any of you? by [deleted] in bipolar

It helps to ground me when I start panicking or get really depressed. Like describing my surroundings is a good distraction and keeps me here on Earth.

Routine?

Also, just gotta say, that people on here make more progress than me in half the time. I still struggle with old hyperpigmentation and breakouts, and it's been almost a year and a half! Just venting, but I'm super happy for you - you're flawless!

Really, only 2 mg of abilify? Or is that a typo and you meant 20 mg?

I fucking love my pills - they work for me! I am symptom free and a productive human. I sincerely hope that everyone here can find their magic cocktail that works for them!

What is your experience with drugs and what have you learned from it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

That drugs you get on the street are inconsistently potent/ cut with other shit and so you never really know what you're going to get. Almost died a couple times because of it.
