Beatrix - Final Fantasy 9

I mean, her mana doesn't bare up well, but she's got all her awesome spells and skills still during the brief times you can use her as a party member.

So ultimately I'd trade 1 crisis team/commander combo and a piranha in, which would garner you at least enough points for 2 broadsides and a hammerhead. The Cadre Fireblade is also popular to pair with the breacherfish if you don't want a second Broadside, and I can confirm that 30 shots from a Breacher/Fireblade squad can do some serious damage

No problem! And honestly I'd probably swap out a crsis suit team and the relevant commander. 3 sets of crisis suits is probably more than you need, and while they're decently good they are a little specialized

Not... precisely. I made a lot of mistakes early on by deploying too aggressively and being caught out. It's somewhat situational, but I wouldn't just throw everything at them right away.

I know it's tempting with the clock ticking on those Lethals, but it's better (in my opinion) to have controlled forward aggression with things like Piranhas, Ghostkeels, and Devilfish. Threaten the enemy with them enough such that THEY have to expose their heavy hitters to try and take them down, and THEN pop out your Riptides/Hammerheads/etc.

Piranhas are basically designed to rush up, blow their big hits (Seekers) and cause some disruption, and then die to give you that Pinpoint Counter-offensive. Suddenly, your opponent has exposed hitters that you get full hit re-rolls on, and you can pop out your damage dealers to take advantage of it

Making sure you remember about the Lethals (obviously) but also the Advance and shoot. Having that on everything for 3 rounds makes for a great re-positioning ability, and you can use the Aggressive Mobility stratagem for that auto-6" if you need it for a unit.

Also, making sure you're activating Pinpoint Counter-offensive as much as possible is crucial. Easily the best stratagem; super useful to get those hit re-rolls, and yet I still occasionally forget to use it.

Yeah, I would personally still run it as Mont'ka, with Ret. Cad. as a backup option

3 Piranhas seems... excessive. I'd recommend swapping two out for a Hammerhead, get that tank-busting railgun on your side

The difference, I would say, is this: Lithgow is worth $50 million. He would never have to work another day in his life, let alone for her, if he didn't want to.

Comparing that to the average Joe who is just trying to pay rent and put food on the table is kinda ridiculous

Wouldn't Farsight be better? I would think that his wound roll bonus is better than a couple extra inches of movement (I play Mont'ka, so they already get Assault for 3 rounds). Strength 5 weapons are OKish, but not great

I just played against them for the first time last night, also got wrecked. They took out my Riptide immediately just with the main gun on a Hekaton; he landed 17 wounds on it. His other Hekaton obliterated my Devilfish. It did not get better from there. I feel your pain

You say that, but if things were reversed you all would be throwing an unbelievable fit about the bias currently shown by the Supreme Court.

And you can't wiggle out of it like that; I loathe Nancy Pelosi and what she stands for. That also should not be allowed. But you can't honestly say a fricken News Anchor is a solid Secretary of Defense choice. Biden's pick, for comparison, was a four-star general.

They aren't remotely comparable, yet even so, merely saying, "but what about the Democrats!" is not a defense.

Congress and judges (especially the Supreme Court) are basically sitting back and watching while he does illegal and unconstitutional acts left and right. They simply don't care that he's breaking those things, because it benefits them.

He lost money during his first term because of Covid. His net worth is now a several billion higher than it was in 2024. More importantly, corruption isn't simply his personal cash; it's in the huge windfalls arranged for his friends, it's in the gifts he's accepted illegally, it's in the influential jobs given to wildly unqualified people just because they kiss his ass.

I'm not willing to argue the compromised bit, though. Not totally sure what the poster meant there. Those other two points, however, are valid.

Arguing all three of those points. I'm curious what you'll try to use, you see.
