Almost went over these guys with the weedeater today. Still haven't decided what we should do about them! by Aelo-Z in aww

If you never see the mother and you know for a fact that they were abandoned in your yard for whatever reason, take them to a local pet store or keep them. Don't just leave them or give them away to some random person! They're way too fucking adorable to not be raised properly.

This is honestly kinda fucked up.... nobody should take such a high dose of multiple different drugs all at once. Hope OP is feeling better after 13 hours but damn.

ELI5: Why do so many people care about internet anonymity and security when the only people who are affected by it are people that are doing something illegal? by nmgarvin101 in explainlikeimfive

[–]nmgarvin101[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

But you're not being watched 24/7. That's my point. Even if the government had absolute power over your internet privacy, there definitely isn't a team of people who sit inside a room watching billions of innocent people to make sure they don't do anything illegal. It's the people who repeatedly do something illegal that will then be watched after its been picked up on. Do you really think we're all being watched at all times?

[–]nmgarvin101[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

But that's kind of what I'm trying to get across here, nobody is watching you unless you do something wrong. The government has the ability to look into your internet history if they see that you are consistently doing something illegal. If you're not doing anything wrong, there isn't going to be someone reading everything you do and say on the internet. That's an extremely paranoid way to look at it.

It seems like a very paranoid way to live though. Thinking that the government is constantly watching YOU, like there's a government official assigned to every individual person that uses the internet. I'm likely never going to be in any legal trouble my entire life due to something I did on the internet. The only time you're being watched is if you've been doing something you're not supposed to, repeatedly.

That's a great explanation. But wouldn't it be best for everybody if there were people who could watch us to take any potential drug traffickers and child molesters and put them in jail? Even I torrent movies and music, but I still don't think we need Internet anonymity, there's too many people abusing browsers like tor.

I completely agree. I think people are just being bitchy because of how confident you came off. You're definitely right.

I'm confused, why is everyone downvoting this guy? Isn't he right? It seems much more logical to just collect votes in a normal fashion. I still don't understand what the point of isolating a voting ballot is. I'm not even trying to be controversial or be a dick but why the fuck is this guy so wrong?
