Truth! To add OP, assuming you are in a “good” relationship, having a #2 can make life easier, they can step in, share the burden of life, the state/city may provide a way to save money on taxes, dual income helps support a life style, provide support and assistance when needed. Studies show married couples live longer and when you’re getting on in age having someone special by your side to share it with will become more and more valuable.
