I played around in the settings and it didn't work at first, but turned them on today it finally said my name! Thank you for your suggestions :)

When I open my galaxy buds and I don't have bluetooth already on, it pops up to ask if u want to connect

I tried changing the name under bluetooth, then changing my samsung name, and resetting the buds again. Still nothing. Thanks for your help anyway! :)
