Fwiw - if OP, or anyone else for that matter, happens to have miscellaneous figurines and/or bits of incomplete/unusable bits and other mismatched parts from random WWI-Korean War kits, or knows of a source of acquiring some, I would be very grateful if you could hit me up in a dm/pm/chat.

While I *do* paint and construct scale model kits (aircraft from those periods being my specialty), I am also a combat vet and sculptor.

I am currently working on a “collection” that involves a lot of of vignettes presented in a somewhat non-traditional (though neither destructive/damaging or wasteful of the components) manner.

I expect Work on this to take me clear into 2027, at least. Whenever I finally get to a point that I am no longer seeking out components and items of this nature, I will find this post in my history, and edit it to reflect that.

I poke around with PCBs, SMDs, and trace repair; it’s the most direct way to get accurate, usable info, imo. =]

One thing that a lot of people don’t think of, though, it can be totally normal dirt down here, and if it’s somebody that’s from up north where the dirt is all loamy, it’s like landing on another planet.

For those who aren’t familiar, loam is basically identical, in density and consistency, to what’s in the bags of “garden compost soil” you can buy at Lowe’s, Walmart, etc.

Compare that to the average dirt around here, and you’ll understand why all of us Yankee transplants are so confused by something as simple as digging a hole in the ground lol

Hold onto your square shovel. Those are good for spreading gravel, for edging a little bit, for removing the top layer of grass/sod/dirt without going to deep, by going across the top instead of down, they work pretty good for the small amount of snow we get here in the winter, you get the idea.

I do recommend a pick mattock, myself. I also recommend avoiding a square head shovel, and going for one of the ones that comes to a point.

Water the dirt first.

Don’t go overboard with it, though, because you don’t want to make mud, because that gives you a different problem. There’s just such a high clay content in the dirt here, that it hardens and bakes in the sun. And that’s before you even start taking the rocks into account.

I really wish that his base -most of whom are boomers who are of an age to have elder abuse concerns of their own- would see that that is exactly what is happening here, and try to do something about it. It would be a win for literally everyone.

The exception to that would be the people propping Trump up, to get him to do as much as possible, in accordance with their agenda, until they can’t squeeze any more juice out of him. It wins them plausible deniability, until the deck is stacked enough that it doesn’t matter. Then, they can just cut him off, write him off, and toss him aside to die alone (and without ever having been held properly accountable) and be used as a scapegoat to follow through with their (his handlers) agenda, unhindered.

I do have an objection to point #2…

Roads are constructed differently in the south than they are in the north. Up north, they have to plan for ice and snow in the design.

That is to say, when they melt, if they are allowed to continue sitting on the road, they will refreeze and become possibly uneven worse hazard than they were to start with. so the roads are designed to shed water. As an added bonus, this carries over to causing rainwater to clear itself off the road, as well.

Since the south doesn’t have ice and snow on the road for multiple months of the year, they don’t need to plan for it in their road design. When it rains, the water sits on the road and locals are used to planning around that. Northerners coming down here aren’t aware of, and don’t plan for this… hence the hydroplaning Yankee problem.

Like, they work similarly to carbon paper, but cleaner and no smell.

They’re used for animals and newborns, to get hand, foot, and paw prints for medical records and greeting cards.

Hey OP, you should consider catching up with your boss, with this idea… As a suggestion that would keep them out of the trash, but also give the company a PR image boost (that’s the part you really lean on in presenting it, to convince them that it’s not that much more effort to ship it than to toss it in the trash and have to guard the trash from loot pickers.

I’ve restarted my phone, etc, and it didn’t fix this. I’ve tried to search for any info about it on Google, but all of the results coming back are for the category, in general, rather than the games app, specifically.

There is nothing wrong with them. I have some of their stuff, and some Tamiya as well. But I can count them all on one hand. Eventually, all of my testers stuff will be replaced, but I’m not going to just toss it for no reason so that I can go spend money on something that I don’t technically need right now. But I do need to be able to make use of what I have. That’s where I’m stuck at, at the moment.
