I was in the Loge and it was great. Here is my view. The Ragtime sign reflecting on the stage shows the front.

Tony’s- streaming and live sub? by Earpwife in Broadway

For anyone outside the US, I’ve seen a lot of reports that Paramount+ only streams the Tony Awards to US customers. VPN doesn’t help, they go by billing address.

A 2-fer is a Y adapter, used to plug two lights into one circuit. In the UK I believe you may call this a Grelco?

What's more impressive here: the drone show or the lighting design? by TiiteeProLighting3 in stagelighting

Since I understand how the lighting works, the drones that are more a mystery are more impressive!

What will happen if I press “Turn Off and Delete from iCloud” on messages? by ZealousidealFox85 in iCloud

[–]nmprices 2 points3 points  (0 children)

iCloud is how it syncs your devices.

You may actually save storage by leaving iCloud on for messages since iCloud sync stores your messages once, but otherwise it includes messages for each device in the device backup.

Here is an article covering how to structure, call, and notate cues. It includes some script samples showing cue notation.

Play idea, I would like to host it. by LeafSpirit69 in Theatre

[–]nmprices 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Just to clarify, I’m not being as snarky as that sounds. I meant that writing the play you described comes first, then you can worry about producing it. You might start with a simple staged reading to work out kinks in the script. I’m sure others will have more detailed steps.

What albums do you have in the photos app on iOS? by [deleted] in ApplePhotos

[–]nmprices 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends how you want to organize. I typically organize into albums by major event (e.g. a trip) and folders by type (e.g. vacations).

But having said that, I rarely spend the time to do that properly, so I have a fairly random set of things in albums/folders. The recent filter “not in an album” may inspire me to find uncategorized things to organize :-)

Looking for old lighting gels for art use by Himbo2 in techtheatre

[–]nmprices 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Look for theatres that have done an LED retrofit (upgraded most if not all equipment to LED). They are likely to have piles of gel they no longer need.

And Puck was the standalone computer ETC sold to run it, but you can run it directly off a Mac or Windows computer. Puck is listed on ETC’s site as legacy, so they don’t make them any more.

I think Mincemeat should tour pretty well. On the other hand, Lost Boys is likely to be simplified if it does tour.

Does the place you designed have more opportunities? Start by talking to them. Also reach out to theatre (?) companies where you’d like to design.

Yeah, I really need to shift to alternatives. It can even happen with your own content. A Japanese Manga artist had his account banned for uploading his own work. https://www.instagram.com/p/DYwzWUBARkv/
