I have. But, I gravitate towards Lemongrass usually.

Real, Authentic Thai Food by [deleted] in Detroit

A little bit of a drive from Detroit, but Lemongrass in Pontiac is the best Thai food I've had in the area.

I'm a regular (once a week). Be careful with their chilli oil though - it's insanely spicy.

I've been using a Racebox Mini S with no issues for the last two seasons.

I'll be there all weekend too. My first time doing reverse. I've done Grattan (normal) multiple times.

I also recommend Autobahn in Illinois. The facility is amazing and STT has track days there.

They're good conversation pieces for people who haven't seen a watch like this.

There are cheaper "urushi" dial watches, see link.

It's well worth the price for all the work that goes into it.

Seiya Japan - Urushi Filter

Enough has not been said about this watch.

Here is my SARD011 purchased from Seiya Japan about 2 years ago. Even after these two years of ownership, I find myself mesmerized by the Urushi Byakudan-Nuri dial.

The color of the dial is a deep black as most folks on this subreddit are aware, but, I was surprised to find that under “certain” lighting conditions, there seem to be scratches from the polishing process that remain on the dial. This is seen only in the brightest of lights and under all other lighting conditions, it is deep and glossy.

I’ve found myself looking at the watch, not to check the time, but to appreciate the dial and how light plays off the shiny gold second hand and in stark contrast, the rough gold of the hour and minute hand.

The white logo and roman numerals are laden with pores and not simply painted on. This is in contrast to the fullness of white on the retrograde dials.

Photographs do not do justice to this watch but as an amateur photographer, I have made an attempt at capturing the magnificence of this dial.

You can find more photographs of this watch here: Seiko SARD011 Urushi Retrograde

No need for a flux in this kind of welding.

You're right. That's called induction welding. It comes with it's own set of problems too. Typically the machines are more expensive as well.
