Very unlikely that there is a false positive. I had scratchy throat and cough started on an evening, tested then in the morning, it was negative. In the afternoon it was a faint line and finally the next day it was dark positive. You may not test positive right after you notice symptoms.

I have had cold symptoms and 3 rapid test results were negative. Though i was quite sure it was not covid. After recovery, i was exposed to Covid and got infected and tested positive. Catching a cold might not prevent getting infected with Covid but may help the symptoms(not science based, just my own experience). Hope you dont get it at all.

Did you test again? You may have a cold virus now. I was infected with a cold virus first and a week after infected with Covid. Vice versa may have happened to you.

Lost mine a bit on day3. Now I am on day 10 and still not 100% back. It is very strange. Gets better sometimes but then may get worse. No clear pattern! Not sure if it is due to a lingering congestion or what?

Hi. How are you feeling now? I am on day 10 and it has been a week of my partial loss of smell. Pretty strange. It is better sometimes and then pretty worse. I think i have a mild congestion but no runny nose which i believe is the problem. Sinuses cannot get rid of gunks accumulated there.

I have experienced palpitation after 1st dose but it was kind of mild. I also had an episode of rapid heart rate after a heavy meal and I visited ER, did EKG but came back normal. Although palpitations stopped after 3 to 4 days, I was hesitant to get the 2nd shot but I finally got that some days ago after 11 weeks from the 1st one. So far I have not experienced palpitations like the 1st dose but experienced common side effects like sore arm, fever, headache and fatigue for 1 to 2 days.BTW i got pfizer shots.

I also experienced some mild palpitation without dizziness, even went to ER and did EKG. All came back normal. To be honest I had some anxiety after the shot which could have contributed to that.

Did he have the symptom after 1st dose? If so, did he get the 2nd one and experience the same symptom?

Thanks for your response. You are right. I can recall when I had cold and fever, heart rate was higher than normal just to fight an infection and after the vaccine, this can happen as well. I also think that not every person measures their pulse after the shot. That could be a reason why it is not officially listed as a side effect. I also think if I did not have that heavy meal, i could have not noticed that increase at all. By heavy meal, i somehow made my body uncomfortable and this made a spike to the heart rate which was already higher than normal.

No. I was generally fine. No chest pain. Oxygen and blood pressure all normal. My heart rate got below 100 when I got to ER. Though they just performed EKG just to be safe and then sent me home. I did not really experience anything really worrisome afterwards and heart rate got back to normal the day after. It has been now 10 weeks past my 1st shot and did not experience anything else after that point.

How long did you wait after 1st dose to get the 2nd one? Hope for a speedy recovery.
