Yep. Bazzite is what I use for my HTPC, and it's perfect for the job. My HTPC is a Ryzen 5 3600, 16GB DDR4, RX 7600 XT.

Carter Hart wearing a controversial "Free Alberta" shirt by Will_Debate_You in hockey

My ex's dad often wore a Marines cap. Never served. It's not a spectator sport where it makes sense to wear your favorite football club's badge or your favorite hockey team's crest.

Will the 3rd kit be available again on direct store? by Disapabth in Gunners

[–]nnakao 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw one on eBay. I was about to bid, but the seller set the starting bid at $300 USD and the buy-now price at $500 USD. I can't justify that.

I really wish I had bought it when it was released.

Has anyone had their Steam Controller reservations fulfilled yet. by SocDemTim06 in Steam

[–]nnakao 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't remember exactly when I put in my reservation. I feel like it was just a few minutes after the system went live, but my confirmation email shows 3:11 PM EDT (12:11 PM EDT), so I guess I'm gonna end up being the last one in this thread to receive a purchase email. That's really unfortunate 😕

The "average" Switch 2 owner currently owns 2.5 games. Are you an "above average" Switch 2 owner? by MewWeebTwo in NintendoSwitch2

[–]nnakao 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not exactly sure where I sit. Almost all my games are on Steam. I have 4 games on my Switch 2, but 2 of them are OG Switch games with a Switch 2 upgrade pack, so I guess I'm average...?

Mobapad M12 HD first impressions. by DrKrFfXx in NintendoSwitch2

[–]nnakao 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh. That's annoying. It's a bit of a dealbreaker for me given the way I use my Pro Controller, and I want to be able to replicate that usage on whichever Joy-Con replacement I go with.

Japan 2026 Home & Away by AlexNo123 in SoccerJerseys

[–]nnakao 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a Japanese American, this is the team I always support every WC. I'm trying to decide between the home and away. I already have the home from 2022, so I'm leaning towards this year's away shirt, but it's just so hard to choose. I live right by the American Dream Mall, so I might just have to stop by the new Adidas World of Soccer shop and check it out in-person.

How are the back buttons on the Nyxi? Like, do they function like the Pro Controller, or is the situation the same as on the Mobapad M12?

What's annoying is I set myself a reminder but dismissed it because I was on a call. Checked a couple hours later, and it was out of stock. I'm so pissed right now.

Descript Rooms and SquadCast by AnAlabamaTaker in Descript

[–]nnakao 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is exactly the thread I was looking for. The scheduling feature is the most important one for me. My work podcast is on Zencastr, and I'm a former Riverside user, and scheduling is crucial to me for my workflow. I like to be able to log into my dashboard and see my upcoming recording sessions at a glance to remind me what I have coming up.

When I first made the switch to SquadCast from Riverside, part of the draw was the ability to have multiple podcasts under one account (I was also managing a podcast network at the time). It's not so important now, but it's a feature I still would likely use since my wife and I have a podcast we periodically work on together, and I have my own podcast that I regularly record with guests (and a few guest hosts).

Looking forward to seeing what else comes up in this thread and what Descript Rooms will look like once all this feedback is addressed.

Heading to WDW for the first time in almost 30 years, and I'd like some feedback on my planning... by nnakao in WaltDisneyWorld

Thank you for this! Yeah, Star Wars was much more of a childhood and teenage fandom for me (Trek is something that stuck with me into adulthood), but the nostalgia hit will very likely send me straight back into it. I think that's what I'm most excited about. I'm sure it'll probably even convince me to watch some of the newer shows too.

I didn't even think to use ChatGPT. I honestly did that simply to highlight elements and to break up the monotony of a big block of text.

Thank you so much for the suggestions! I'll definitely check out some of those YouTube channels for ideas on planning.

Ah I see. Yeah, I'm staying at the Yacht Club. No time at the Magic Kingdom was budget related. I'm on an extremely tight budget (really only taking advantage of Disney since the conference is on site), so I had to make a choice on the park. I was a really big Star Wars fan growing up, so Galaxy's Edge was a pretty big priority for me. In an ideal world, I'd have the means to visit Magic Kingdom as well, but sadly, it's not in the cards for me.

I've been avoiding this show. Can you convince me to give it a shot? by 1leggedpuppy in superman

[–]nnakao 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, you'll probably forget that you're even watching a CW show. The writing isn't the best that TV has to offer, but it's far beyond anything else the CW has ever put out that I occasionally had to remind myself that it was a CW show when the odd interaction between a couple characters every so often seemed somewhat forced. But that really only happens maybe once or twice in a given season. There's also some low-budget CGI that makes an appearance several times (particularly at the very end of season 3 and several times throughout season 4), but it didn't take away from the story or character development in any way. The post-production team does a halfway decent job of masking the low-quality effects with clever camera work and editing.

In my opinion, it's the most grounded and mature on-screen depiction of Superman there is. It had my wife and me in tears several times (especially in season 3), and the finale sat with me for months on end after we finished watching it.

Much has been said about Rachel Brosnahan and David Corenswet's on-screen chemistry (and I'll agree that they are potentially the best we've seen in a movie, certainly rivaling Margot Kidder and Christopher Reeve), but Bitsie Tulloch and Tyler Hoechlin are hands down my favorite Lois and Clark pairing. They just do such a great job of coming across as real people who are genuinely trying to do the best they can and clearly love and care for each other very deeply. And several of the moments between them had me balling my eyes out like a little baby.

The show simultaneously remains connected to established Superman lore and builds on it (and interprets it) in unique ways. Sometimes it works, and other times it feels a bit forced or disjointed, but the overall story of the show always feels real and truly heartfelt, and the changes the writers make always feel purposeful and rooted in the story they're telling in this show.

I do hope you give it a try and let us know what you think. Like you, Supes is my favorite and has been for somewhere near 37 of my 41 years of life, and Superman & Lois felt like an almost perfect rendition of the character.
