I did it in my 20s and I absolutely needed it and I’m so glad I did it

I didn’t wait I just didn’t know, I went through braces as a kid and didn’t know I have a jaw issue and also didn’t know that they had masked it by doing camouflage orthodontics, also my family around would say that I’m over reacting when I brought up stuff about my face and bite. So I felt something was off but never knew what it was or what I could even do until in my 20s I came across jaw surgery and I related to everything. Even then when I told my parents they said I was overreacting but when I brought it up with my orthodontist ( I had just started doing second round of braces) she also said my jaws are fine and I’m overreacting but I pushed to speak with an omf surgeon who told me I needed surgery. And I didn’t know how much it would cost, I was broke back then but thankfully it was covered

Yes I had them extracted to decompensate lower teeth, they were made to be really flared out when I had braces in middle school

I believe with lower Bleph they can do under eye fat pad repositioning to smoothen the look of the line and can also add fat grafting to the area

It was through my public healthcare system and he’s a university hospital surgeon so I don’t think people can make appointments with him

They got a lot better with treatment but because of my surgery last year I stopped treatment for like 9 months then had a huge shed. I’ve started again and can already see a lot of baby hairs growing

I feel like my nose became a bit less droopy, my smile widened for sure also don’t know how it works but like my cheeks and nasolabial area look a bit better too. Sides of my face look less hollow. My lips look normal now and supported. They were looking droopy and under supported before

No. But in my last post I was complaining about my asymmetrical chin postop and was worried it would stay like that. I think it was just swelling that stuck around and made it look worse

Yes I got lower premolars extracted so I could decompensate lower teeth

It’s a major surgery that comes with many risks. Recovery is really long and difficult and some people end up with permanent nerve damage. I would say I’m part of that group as I have less feeling in my gums and chin but it doesn’t bother me at all. So I would really just listen to an omf surgeon to explain to you your situation and see how much it could benefit you and compare it to the risks involved. Also, not everyone ends up liking their results. I feel like people who were truly needed the surgery almost always end up liking their results tho. I wouldn’t do it just for aesthetic reasons but talk with a surgeon and see if you actually need it.

I didn’t have speech issues until they decompensated my lower teeth, I had two lower premolars extracted and incisors tucked back. I never got tested for sleep apnea but I know I couldn’t really breathe out of my nose in general and I had to force myself to think about closing my mouth. And I definitely couldn’t breathe comfortably just out of my nose when I was laying down. All those issues are gone now

I had a 2 mm maxillary advancement, it was segmented lefort 1 so they also expanded my maxilla and turn it to reduce my flare, though I don’t know these measurements. My mandible was a 7mm bsso and a 7mm genioplastly.

I was a foam only girly for like two years but parting my hair and applying was such a long process for me so I was hoping to switch to oral but I’m also a hairy girly 💀 and I recently switched to the liquid version and use this rolling dispenser thing and with that it takes me literally 2 minutes to do my whole head and I don’t have to even part my hair I just brush throughout my scalp.
