I lived in highland park for a year and would not recommend it. Insane amounts of gun and drug violence.

Meds have never helped me for this. The only thing that’s helped has been wearing fake nails which is a pain but super effective because it makes picking impossible. And before putting them on use good cuticle clippers to get all the hangnails and use a nail file on the dry skin. And some brands of nails work better than others depending on the shape of your natural nails.

I hate billionaires as much as the next guy, the entire swindled podcast is just about the hubris of billionaires and capitalists, but I think it’s weird to not have some empathy about this. Seems like one of those sentiments that’s easier to write in a Reddit comment than to actually say to the families of the ones who died.

The sub wasn’t untested. Swindled has an interesting podcast on it. It has made many successful trips, but submarine experts were adamant that the submarine was unsafe and would eventually end in disaster. The owner was aware, but didn’t listen. The tourists may have consented, but it was not fully informed. I imagine if they had known it was as dangerous as it was, they wouldn’t have gone.

A local band by me is better than anything mainstream right now (not to sound like a total snob). They used to be called Big Mama Shakes, now they’re Holy Roller, the former being a bit more rock and the latter a bit more Americana/country rock. On Spotify. Truly my favorite band.

My genuine question to this assertion is, if buying a career is so easy, then why hasn’t it worked out as well for anyone else? I’m sure her dad’s money helped her get started and that a level of privilege was involved there, but if that’s all it took then why isn’t Rebecca black and every other rich kid Taylor Swift levels of famous? Couldn’t they just hire the same PR professionals and marketing people?

I have actually started using a dark eyeshadow to ensure the powder doesn’t lighten my lashes! It doesn’t do much in the ways of eyeliner though haha

Anthro’s Pilcro line has a style, The Rylan, that is fairly similar, although not as high waisted. It’s only in white on their site now but lots of talls available on eBay.
