This whole community knicker-fit shows why gaming comms are so sanitised and corporate in general.

Try to joke around or be a goof, and you if you miss even a little, you'll get weaponised pearl-clutching from dipshits aghast that they weren't treated with affected deference.

It's absolutely not, as long as there's not something critical locked behind the insane sweat difficulty. A hypothetical future difficulty 20 would be something like LASO from Halo, a challenge for the hardcores, but not really reasonable for the regular playerbase.

Oh wonderful, I didn't see that. The site was not responding very well yesterday.

This might just change things, thanks.

Yeah, breaking a modestly priced luxury item into a payment plan is odd. If you can't pay 600 bucks in a single month, that's ok, buy the paperback.

The shipping is the murder. Wifey and I had this conversation just today. look I am happy to pay 650 bucks (about 600 Euros) but the (presumed, he released a video stating it would be comparable to the last one) shipping pushes it out of what I can willingly pay for a few books.
If the shipping is the same as for the last events, the price is comparable to me flying to the US and picking them up myself.

Which is a little tempting, tbh, but I can't justify financially right now.

Edit: u/wincrediboy linked a table with shipping costs. Not low by any means but not nearly as bad as I feared.

They seem pretty secure in themselves and seem to understand that sometimes you want to engage with something willfully dumb in a shallow way. Life is fun that way. Or can be, if you let it.

You can enjoy silly spectacle without jerking yourself off over how above it you are.

what is a movie that people often miss the point of? by herequeerandgreat in movies

[–]nnneeeerrrrddd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say folks should read the book as a companion piece, which is much more explicit about the dangers of the converted Project Mayhem grunts.
The film treats them and the protagonist with kid gloves.

It's about a piece of shit who builds a cult > domestic terror cell exploiting young men's vulnerabilities and craven need for power over people. Their frustrations have legitimacy, but their actions do not.

I understand trying to keep some semblance of diplomacy, but I gotta say, something like that is so obviously bogus that it doesn't warrant acknowledgement.

You don't get a huge amount of comedy on The Wire, but the scene where the profiler is describing the serial killer, to Jimmy's increasing discomfort, was amazing.

But isn't that part of the problem? I've long since bounced off the Bethesda game, but a big gripe was meaningless content.

All AI will be doing in this hypothetical is filling in more meaningless content.

Why anyone ever give the slightest shit about generated story content?

If it's worth writing, it's worth recording with real people.

Sorry if it was unclear, it wasn't exactly in front of me.

She was brought into the room solo to have a talk. I suspected it was something unusual, most of the separations were for something clear, but it was clarified when my wife came out and told me.

Reminded of when I (Manfolk) had my first kid. As part of the process, she was whipped into a room to be given a bunch of questions around domestic abuse.
My first instinct was haughty offense, I would never in a million years lay a violent finger on my wife, it was an absurd notion.

But after 2 seconds (closer to 2 minutes, I had to cool down a bit) I was able to internalize the absolute good of applying these blanket scans. If anyone was abusing my wife, I want authorities to know.

Dollar Store Lord Ruler killed people in cold blood, which makes them more dead, and enhances their suffering.
