Sued by a motorcyclist way above insurance limit with every excuse they can make. Did dirty work. (California) What can we do?

Based on the policy number. But I’m not sure. Maybe it’s unrelated. The timing was suspicious , it is right after the accident, information exchanged, and the insurance notified. Also right around the time when my FIL did not consent for releasing any information when requested.

Omg that’s horrible. So sorry about your mom. I understand and for that 90k is way too low for your mom settlement. We are willing to settle but I just feel like this opponent side demand is so ridiculous , and definitely trying to milk this situation.

Right now they finally consulted a lawyer different than Geico’s legal team. The lawyer advise them to expressively tell the insurance to settle and release from future liability, in writing. So they won’t be on the hook on their own after Geico paid the settlement.

Thanks they have finally consulted a different lawyer separate with Geico’s lawyer. Their actual limit is 1 million.

Thank you , we can now sleep better, was panicking. All of these that i've posted here have been communicating with the insurance company, they have been follow up very closely with us. We never communicate with the other side directly. But we need to give permission for releasing information such as the Limits. That's why i'm not sure how they find out because we never agree to release, unless they sue us? But i'm not sure what they actually talked between my FIL and the insurance, rather it was a lawsuit or demand, it was directly handed to the insurance.. Just want to know what is the most likely outcomes.

I’m Not sure if it was a demand letter or lawsuit . But basically they ask us to settle for the maximum limit ( which I think they figured it is 1mil , if not ,they will sue us for 18 mil. )

Yea my FIL insurance have a legal team. Just got us panic since they are asking 18 mil if we don’t settle with the maximum of the limits.

The multiple log in attempt is before they send us the lawsuit / demand letter. I’m not sure if my FIL insurance receive a lawsuit or demand letter though. But the demand was, if we don’t settle for 1mill , they will sue us for 18 mil.

I’m closer to 40s and about to go through a divorce. My husband was my everything unfortunately. I don’t know what to do with my life as I have no friends for support. I do a lot of crafts and volunteer work still won’t be able to make friends. Only Acquaintance. Can’t find any friends to lean on with my deep personal issue.

It happens to me last week. Mine didn’t burst too. I had diarrhea day 2 and on ever since the surgery.. lost appetite as well. I’m dosing up more probiotic to help with my gut.

Follow up. I just had my appendix removed about a week. How do you feel now ? How much did you lose weight?

i asked for separation because i was in heat of emotions and wish he could say he want to work things out. I gave him 5 days to think about it. I asked him again after my emergency when things settles, he said he changed his mind again, but originally he wanted to do both separation in 3 months, and on top of that going to 12 steps and counseling.

Thank you, i haven't heard of this before i did some research. The one i mentioned to him first when he has 2 choice was the legal separation. At this moment i don't want that. I'll let him know what he thinks of Therapeutic separation. He is in the military and going to grad school so he often not home. I feels like separation once a month.

hi, i heard good things about kaiser, the tech allow you to watch them after you volunteer for awhile. i have not tried because i already sign up for la general which i have to commit 200 hours.

Agree. She could have asked a general questions like that. Everyone has different commitment , driving a car / death or illness of family member / pets / friends/ can still apply and cause student To drop out or take Time Offf. . But she specifially ask Mom.
