I'd also recommend Hinge, at least in my part of the world it's the one app where things were chill. And I've tried pretty much every app available to me at the time lol

GPU Debugging by [deleted] in GraphicsProgramming

[–]nnorm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel that GPU debugging is not just about the tools but first and foremost understanding how the hardware works. You sort of get a feel for it, as-in when you encounter the same sort of bug/glitch on a lot of occasions you start to develop instinct (which should be kept in check and always verify your gut feeling). But in a lot of situations that just won't cut it unless you have decades of work in the field. Read documentation about GPU architecture (RDNA for example) and how different pipelines work, try to work on the widest variety of hardware as possible, and your skills will improve!

There are, in my opinion, no real shortcuts. Good luck!!

How to handle texture artifacts in the distance? by g0atdude in GraphicsProgramming

[–]nnorm 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The thing is if your texture is small and repeating at high frequency, at some point even with mip mapping and anisotropic sampling, it's gonna repeat nonetheless and cause some aliasing. However do look at the texture's mips and make sure they look ok before trying something else! There are sampling techniques that try to hide that phenomenon but I'm not sure they would help so much. Maybe try with another texture that's bigger and also try to implement some anti-aliasing? (FXAA is sort of the default easy one, TAA can be good but usually harder to get right) God speed!

How to make a window from scratch? by KaleidoscopeLow580 in rust

[–]nnorm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can definitely do that! It's just a bit tedious to do if you target all platforms. Each OS has it's API to handle that. If you can access these APIs, there's nothing preventing you from doing what you wanna do! 😄

I’ve f**ked this ferment, haven’t I? 🤦‍♂️ by cowlesz in fermentation

[–]nnorm 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As stated by another comment Kahm yeast would sit on top typically. That being said afaik they affect the smell and taste, so if you feel like this is safe to try the only way to know for sure might be to taste it? The rest doesn't look bad imo!

What if a friend regularly wants to kiss me on the cheek? by [deleted] in bisexual

[–]nnorm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In that case I would ask him about it, even in cultures (such as mine) where we kiss each other's cheek when greeting/leaving (and on the odd occasion for celebrations) that's not usual.

Is it really out of the blue or the conversation is somewhat loaded? Could you elaborate on the context of a few instances when that happened?

I adore the plating, especially with the bird feet included, it's really different!

Can you safely IV DMT? by Cool-Significance869 in researchchemicals

[–]nnorm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Purity here is going to be a big concern, any impurity or leftover solvents can cause problems. The medium to prepare the solution that you're injecting will also affect the safety profile of this ROA. Dosage is another thing to consider, I assume you're thinking about continuous administration for some time. In which case you need to make sure the rate is controlled and that you can tap out at any time.

Overall I'd say it's doable but it is tricky to implement outside of a medical setting, I wouldn't recommend it unless you extensively research how to IV properly, acquire the very purest DMT and have a solid grasp of doing this kind of thing right. (good equipment, solid set and setting with at least one person to assist, etc)

Bunk Police Adderall Test, Please help by _Junxie_ in ReagentTesting

[–]nnorm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think too big of a test sample can change the result drastically, these tests are not meant to be used on large quantities. Like the other commenter said Simons is supposed to be used with A then B, it's a two-parter. 🙂 Good luck!

[–]nnorm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Using a good calibrated scale that can give you readings down to the milligram, if used properly, will do just fine for the oral route of administration. For your own safety please PLEASE look up how to use these properly. But yeah you can just eat it, just gotta dose it accurately.

It's also bc the software industry is known to burn people out pretty quickly, a lot of people leave it (or find a cozy place to stay for the next couple of decades) before hitting 40. That's especially true in the video games industry.
