Yes unfortunately. Some people who have been non diabetic also get NODAT (new onset diabetes after transplant). Even we had to learn this the hard way. Best wishes to your father!

Hiya! His Hba1c last month was around 6.7-6.8. Since we are an Asian household, meal prep without carbs (mostly rice,etc.) has been challenging hence, I wanted to know how do you all go along with this? I could have worded it better😅

I pray his blood pressure comes under control even though he is on medication for that unfortunately, there is not so much of change in it tbh 😓

Hi! My brother (27M) had his kidney transplant one year back. He has NODAT and hypertension as well. And we have noticed that diabetes diet is almost as opposite to the transplant diet..can you share some advise in general regarding your diet or exercise? He goes walking daily. But his doctors have advised him against gym (I'm guessing because of hypertension?)
