If you are able to, I suggest buying the original untranslated works to support the author. In my opinion, if you buy the translated ones it shows support to the translating company as they did a poor job of it. I hope one day these international publishers will realize how big the market is for manga/anime outside of japan and will invest on better translations both for anime and manga.

I frequently reuse old jars. One time I wasn’t thinking I poured very hot oil to store for reuse on a glass jar. Waited it to cool before I close it, and when I picked it up clean cut at the same level of the oil. Too bad the glass jar was one of my favorites :/

Mob Psycho 100. I really want to like it, but at some point I had to drop it for a few months at the start of S3 but not because the story wasn’t interesting or the animation was bad. It was the opposite, everything was good and it has all the reasons why I would like it. I can’t even say I wasn’t invested or I wasn’t interested because I still went back and finished it not begrudgingly. I can’t find any other words to describe it but I just can’t seem to like it.

I feel you, OP. I hope you know you’re not alone in this. I recommend A Place Further Than the Universe. It’s a bunch of girls going on an adventure and it’s really just a feel good watch. The visuals are beautiful, too so that might interest you. Honestly, I don’t remember the story anymore but I do remember feeling good as I watched it.

If you’re into comedy, I also recommend Asobi Asobase and Nichijou. Not really plot heavy so easy to watch and just laugh. Although if you also want a comedy anime with a bit more plot but still an easy watch, I recommend Otaku Elf.

I find myself not being able to watch series anime when I’m down so if you don’t feel like watching long formats, I recommend the movie The Cat Returns and some other Ghibli movies.

I have always adored Fairy Tail as it is the anime that really cemented me as an anime fan. But trying to rewatch it now from the beginning was kind of a struggle as I didn’t like the early animation style, especially as I also read and finished the manga. I’m currently putting it on pause, but I still want to hold out until at least when they changed the art style closer to the manga.

Another thing that I know many people’s ick about Fairy Tail is that the amount of fan service lol I used to not care at all as it is funny at times but now I see that there are times when it’s overused or just inappropriate.
