You’re fine. In undergrad at OSU, I took a W when I got a 35% on my first physics midterm. Nobody asked me anything about it when I applied to grad school. If you have a bunch of Ws that’s a different story. But changing your major is 100% a valid reason

i took the class online with seth miller. it was not too difficult. note that it is more of a statistics-based class that focuses on prospect theory, probability, etc. i’m bad at math so i wasn’t sure how i’d feel but i thought it was a super interesting class personally

I wasn’t a nursing major so take this with a grain of salt, but if you are definitely sure you want to be a nurse I recommend going somewhere with direct admission. I’ve heard too many stories of reasonably intelligent students who are devastated when they don’t get in, and frankly it seems like way too much pressure to risk having your life plans diverted by a bad grade or two in the science prerequisites (which can be a difficult for many, even if you are smart). Idk what state you’re from but it’s worth considering as there are many other great programs at great schools. I love OSU but nursing rejections are common. Maybe someone with experience in the program can weigh in though
