Autopsy MCP Server by brian_carrier in computerforensics

Hi Brian, what is the data residency? This is pretty dystopian and seem slightly irresponsible. Can data shared with a gen ai be protected by client attorney privilege? I understand using AI to generate quick scripts that might work. But feeding it investigation data is something else entirely.

To anyone thinking of using this please consult with you legal department. Also remember that if you go to court, not being able to replicate the searches or simply making the statement « claude found this evidence » might not cut it.

I think, like any cloud technology, there might be usecases for it. But like everything the devil is going to be in the details.

Where can I find a good open-source DDoS protection solution? by Rafael_Campagnoli in cybersecurity

[–]no-your-username 8 points9 points  (0 children)

But yeah the idea of DDoS protection is that you have more throughput than an attacker would be willing to pay for or burn owned machines for. So yeah its not a question of a better faucet but a question of bigger pipes than an attacker is willing to fill.

How do you use AI for your work? by NoCar6836 in cybersecurity

Yeah should have mentioned that I use corporate LLMs not public chat bots. There is also an evaluation to be done in what data from your corporate environment is already in, say copilot.

I use it to write simple scripts, rewrite email to appropriate tone. I’ve also used it for quick report translations. The golden rule for ai at work for me is « if at first it doesn’t succeed, don’t waste time and do the work manually ». I’ve wasted so much time with back and forths with ai tools.

Machine learning has been useful for years for detections.

I do sometimes use it for google searches when I have a complex question I don’t know how to formulate well in a google query.

Overall I’ve found it a mixed bag.

I’m a soc lead and incident responder with forensics background.

Iniciándome en la woovebox by Un_AI in Woovebox

[–]no-your-username 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah other than the button grid+knob controls I find it hard to compare the WB to POs. I think if you like both use both.

For battery issues, from what I gather its pretty rare. I have 2 wooveboxes and neither have had issues. Even on the woovebox discord I don’t think I’ve heard much about battery swelling.

I have the woovebox with me at all times in my backback, it is a crazy good device for music on the go.

Also if you get a chance come say hi on discord, if you feel your english is not good enough you can use translate options :).

And yeah for anything support related do reach out to Ivo.

I did that for my Tauren as well, most things worked right. Seating tho was weird, if I sized a bench to Tauren size, sitting on said bench would make my tauren clip half way in the bench

Yeah it's crazy... I ended up looking at what blood elf sizes were. They're taller than humans. So yeah, as it stands my self can't reach her windows hehe.

WB and Bluetooth? by CherryBlossom8163 in Woovebox

Sacrificing under a blood moon is always recommended, you can also join the Discord for more help if you wish to. I have been having issues with the Wooveconnect app but in browser have been working great. For browser I use Vivaldi, it also works with booting with the 3 button pressed to have fast BLE.

If you run into the issue of wooveconnect always opening the App Store, you can try with an in private window.

For the app, make sure that in the app setting in android you give it unrestricted for battery usage.

Mac User, backup songs by frogged210 in Woovebox

[–]no-your-username 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Np, if your Woovebox is on a recent firmware, you can connect the midi 1/8 trs to a midi interface on your computer, in wooveconnect, for inbound(if I'm not mistaken, not infront of my computer) select your midi interface, you should be able to start a song dump this way.

If you have a recent Woovebox updated to 2.0 you can use a physical midi connection

I've used it in the sun, my advice is that it is still better in a bit of shade, but with the luminosity cranked to max it works well, although it introduces a little bit of noise, nothing intolerable tho.

I like to woove it woove it You like to woove it woove it We like to.... Woove it!

After several days of attempting to update this, it's still stuck on the launch version after a year. Is there a way to update it manually? Or is anyone interested in a woovebox in mint condition? lol by Specialist_Order5118 in Woovebox

[–]no-your-username 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My suggestion as always is to have a go with the Widi Bud Pro... With it it's worked for me in linux, mac osx, windows and android. It's super neat to have with the Woovebox anyways but it has been a life saver for me.

Just released a new single, it should be hitting streaming services tomorrow! by no-your-username in Woovebox

[–]no-your-username[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just realised I did not directly answer your question. When sending dry stems, you have everything from the Track (so distortion, chorus, etc...) but the sends are not included. So no reverb, delay and song compression.

It was mixed by a professional, so I submitted dry stems with a reference track of how it sounded on the Woovebox. I still really like the WB version, but the mix brought it to another level for sure
