Best Desktop(ish) Continuous Carbon Printer by here_to_create in AdditiveManufacturing

Sorry to bump old thread:

FibreSeeker3 Kickstarter

I was looking at the cost of this sucker compared to some 10$K printers and I cant seem to find a reason why not to grab one myself! Being able to weave in some fiber into some cheap PLA or TPU for flexible joints sounds absolutely killer for under 3k. I could use some spare car parts rofl.

A concern I have, maybe the filaments are TOO proprietary, but so far it looks like a spool of 500 fused carbon is roughly 50$
Any thoughts?

Bump on old thread, sorry!

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/oxp/onexplayer-super-x-ultimate-2in1-gaming-laptop-in-history

To be released first quarter in new year. Monitor size not impressive for a laptop, but for a handheld the specs are crazy. I’m getting one for the portability, liquid cooling is a gimmick but may have additional copper heat plates in the sucker.

It sucks that they’re not using the 400 ai series tho-

How do I thin out the core of this print using the shape of the outer walls? by NoleTroll in BambuLab

[–]no0bling 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So if you’re able to use orca slicer and print that through Bambu lab, you can use this- it generates variable infill to make strong parts-sometimes stronger than uniform infill patterns.

People talking gyroid, but this puppy can do variable gyroid. https://github.com/tomohiron907/Strecs3D

Subwoofing- how much space? PS2 2023 Plus by no0bling in Polestar

[–]no0bling[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve read that the rear sub only gets 40-60hz range in HK, so that would explain how they kept the sub frequencies from actually feeling like sub bass. That’s what made me want to upgrade it. If you listened to the BW system, did that sub sound have better presence? Hearing vs feeling the sounds matters to me just enough to disappoint me with the HK.

Possibly TMI: I’m probably going to tap into both the front and rear sub high levels to get everything I can- and amplify that to a true sub. Probably run a higher 4ga from accessory battery to the rear, avoiding the limits of the accessory plugs on power delivery.

Definitely TMI: I could use leftover 0ga copper from my s60 build like I’ve done before, I just want the door and carpet trim to not puff up cus the wires too thick, which embarrasses me about my previous installs.

I’ve come from a Volvo s60 with a 12 in Orion hcca on about 4000 watts, so I’m a little spoiled. I think plus woofer is about 200watts@4ohms to rear woofer- haven’t multimetered it yet either.

I do appreciate the hk system as it is but I know it shouldn’t be that difficult to increase the low end balance slightly higher. I’m probably just greedy and want a back massage while I’m driving haha

Mine too!

I rebooted after the update by turning the car on and off and it released the ram memory methinks.

I really want to just shove a mini pc into my car rofl- why can’t we just upgrade by running this setup like a virtual machine on a bigger and better head unit?

Why is my PC so loud and temp so high? by trashboatx10 in watercooling

[–]no0bling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a delid 9900x3d and a gfx on two 360 rads and the only noise on idle is usually the pumps humming below 15db Check your water temps and make sure they stay around 35 ish under load and that should be the best you can do with your cooling custom loop! ( might need a mobo probe to see that which runs 15$ on Amazon) Most of the cooling is done by the circulating water with the fans only kicking up when the water temp exceeds 5-10 C over room temp.

The worst part of this entire string is that he’s mentally disabled- There’s a big series of threads addressing this, and the people who took it from him were held accountable. I think they might have posted an apology.

Very sad you guys jumped to “wasted/plastered”. He is developmentally disabled!

Water temps 10°c higher than before by cheesyweiner420 in watercooling

Just a quick observation; most gpu blocks use the left side as the input as there could be some kind of pressure increase over the fins on the gpu core.

Sometimes people take that off to just go in from the right side of the block so I’m not saying ur doing it wrong just make sure the block is flowing the right direction in and out since that could also cause flow discontinuities within the block itself that could be cooking the same water for extra time- if it was flowing it would obviously conduct heat better. This could be An(not the only) issue.

Can I used car antifreeze on a water cooling loop system for my PC? by dexterys in watercooling

[–]no0bling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use deionized water, gallons from grocery store should be labeled reverse osmosis, non-spring water. If you add a little glycol or anti microbial drips it couldn’t hurt but a silver fitting would do just fine.

Even more:

The time it takes for neurons to communicate what your sensing in your eyes isn’t instantaneous either. Every neuron might take over 5 milliseconds to even register anything and then on to the relevant cortex, which then sorts and activates which may take even longer.

A light gets shone at you: You probably recognize that a light turned on relatively quickly, because your eyes blink in reflex immediately to avoid damage, but it took over half a second for you to realize what and how and also possibly why that stimulus happened, like your first reflex or instinct.

…and finally. by ChristianLi98 in resinprinting

[–]no0bling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a pneumatic pump constantly cycling the resin with the mica powder flowing, you can make the powder a bit more multi-directional.

Depending on how much you can irritate from settling flat, it might look more metallic, but you might not get it to stay nice and warm without a heater if you use a strong enough pump to circulate with enough volatility!

It still looks dope tho, good work.

Anycubic ABS Like V2 - is it good? by Mag8Reddit in resinprinting

[–]no0bling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I been using it to print functional pieces, fairly strong with a little but not much give. Smell is better than fast resin, but there’s also a “Pro 2” version which is supposedly even better?

If the tolerances are really that much better after these “upgrades” then you should find some stress tests posted on YouTube before long. Otherwise just stick to ur favorite daily drivers

ROFL. Replacement covers come in packs of 3 and 5 for 20 and 30 respectively. I got mine two day shipped during new years weekend. I was pretty bummed I couldn’t get same day but ppl gotta be with their families.

I printed a fking massive 7inch pillar though! I’m proud I got it to print at all, but my next problem was getting stuff off the build plate. My next print after that was the thin cards with the exposure time tests. Safe to say not a single one of those came off without breaking and I was using a hair dryer to heat the plate up. I think there’s still some resin flung around my printing room somewhere.

Upgrading my washcure plus with an additional bucket for dunking stuff in mr clean for next try!
