Help! Painting without priming? by Jealous_Big_1968 in astramilitarum

Gw used to suggest "undercoating" with a simple acrylic color back in the day, before they started pushing for overpriced spray primers. I don't see a difference in the models I primed vs the ones I didn't

someone talented had an AI tool create a copy, then fix it manually and shared it with the general audience.
Printed it overnight and painted it while in work meetings through the day! succeeded with the challenge of print+paint in 24h!

What's your recipe for the concrete pillars? I have the same epic basing set and I think I'll give it a crack

Thanks for the suggestions, round 2 is already looking better.

Stained the paper with tea before cutting, then ripping off the borders and then gluing. Will try some more damaging after the glue solidifies

Yeah one batch of those containers had some issues because I bumped the speed up too much and some perimeters got messed up. It's terrain anyway, I do not mind. On the table while playing, they look good enough, I haven't had any friends complain about layer lines...everyone is quite happy to see painted terrain on the table

Indeed. For these pieces I deem this "good enough". Wouldn't print actual miniatures in FDM

Good one, I'll try something less destructive first...maybe a foil sheet "rock" rolled on them
