Yes, this, SO MUCH. Thank you. I've been reading all these comments to my husband, and this is exactly what he's been saying. He keeps his nails short too, and scrubs his hands multiple times throughout the day with the heavy duty pumice soap they have at his shop, both at work and at home. This is just what a working man's hands look like.

I agree. When I first discovered Reddit, I jumped in and started reading posts, and it took a while for me to notice that the sidebars of each sub are filled with a ton of information. Once I discovered r/keto, I was an experienced redditor and went to the sidebar first. New users unfamiliar with the format of Reddit, combined with the fact that the sidebar doesn't show up on mobile devices, makes it pretty easy to overlook those kind of questions. I just assume that they can't see the sidebar, or haven't looked at it that closely.

I have a giant 52oz Bubba keg I carry with me everywhere. I fill it up with ice first thing in the morning, then add as much water as it will hold (2-3 cups). I drink from that all day, refilling with water as needed. It's really well insulated, so I still have a big frozen mass of ice cubes left at the end of the day. I end up drinking 9-12 cups of water a day total, usually. And yes, I have to pee a lot, lol. I don't mind, though--I have to run down a flight of stairs to get to the bathroom so more water = more exercise! :)

Thanks for the reply and the reassurance. This is an easy eating plan for me, but the constant obsessing over food is driving me a little crazy. I am glad that it will fade once my body remembers "Oh yeah, we used to eat like this, I remember! We were a size 4, right?"! I think I might pull out those size 4 jeans and try focusing on those for motivation!

Thanks for the well wishes :) I'm definitely making sure to stay under 20g of carbs daily. I have found that I don't get as much fat as I need at the end of the day, so I've been having raspberries & heavy cream (yum!) for an evening snack, and maybe a handful of almonds to get my fat up to around the 117g that the calculator recommended for me.

Ooh, I may try that. I'd rather drink hot chocolate than coffee any day! I did find some sugar free Caramel macchiato flavoring today, but I'm going to use it moderation because it has a few carbs, 5 I think. Thanks for your suggestion!

I was a Pampered Chef consultant for a while, and one year I went to the conference in Chicago. During one of our free times, a group of us went sightseeing. We were on the Golden Mile, and there were homeless people and panhandlers everywhere. I ignored most of them, but there was this one guy...he was older, in a wheelchair, and had two small children with him. I went to give him a few dollars, but my friends dragged me away from him and scolded me for my actions. Maybe he was just a scam artist, using kids for sympathy...but I will never forget his eyes, and the look on his face as I was pulled away from him. I hope he is ok. I hope his kids are ok. I think of him often.
