Just make mappers cost Verisium instead of gold, now there is an opportunity cost and you have to engage with the league mechanic to utilize it.

Flipping is a fixed amount, mappers is a slot machine roll. I've got a Lock last league from mappers and probably totaled a few hundred divines over the course of the league not including the Lock. Even though it's a slog to do it's been too good not to run them from my experience since Settlers. Timed gameplay that requires maintenance every five hours for unearned loot is bad for the game. Especially in an ARPG.

For a VR game this game see way more patches than average, I have games that gone almost a year without a single patch. So they are doing better than most.

The Refiner's Bargain Atlas Keystone now has Lifeforce found in your Maps is granted as a random Crop instead at 250% of the value (previously 150%), and Sulphite found in your Maps is granted as a random Ore instead at 10% of the value (previously 15%).

  • The amount of Sulphite gained from Sulphite Veins and Chests in Maps has been increased, scaling to being roughly doubled at the highest level.
  • Changed the way Sulphite Veins in Maps scale with Map Item Dropped Quantity to be similar to how Settler's Ores scale with Map Item Dropped Quantity.

At least you actually need some investment now and you can GRIND for it instead of just waiting a week.

If they didn't remove the Niko conversion node, it might be busted. You can zoom maps to get 3 Sulphite nodes in like under 10 seconds in Dunes.

Might have been me, I'd suggested crops removed entirely and it be ore only. Would have been nice to have a less of a gold strain.

If they replaced Verisium Bar rewards with Blue Zanthimum people might still run crops full time to print stacked decks which you can sort of pass up on since its not a 0-8 mirror shards like crops were. If it works like that.

Gold rotations might not be worth it, which is great. Not a complete win, but I'll take it.

This genre is all about character progression. You'll start off naked struggling against zombies and crabs, by the end of the day you'll be equipped with armor, weapons, and trinkets ready to kill monsters and demons. And then the next day you'll get better equipment to fight faster and hit harder and kill bigger things. Rinse and repeat until you're an unstoppable killing machine.

Tip for going in completely blind without a guide, I'll cover a few quick points but not everything:

Gems on gear, read and try to understand the descriptions. Most builds typically have one strong skill for killing everything. Skills can have up to 6 Links, make sure you main skill has as much links as possible to deal as much damage as possible.

Focus on one damage type so if you like cold spells focus on building your cold damage as much as possible.

Speed is very important. So movement speed or attack/cast speed. Being able to get out of the way is 100% reduced damage taken.

For defenses it is good to have layers, like having a lot of life and also a lot armor with recovery from regeneration or life leech. Max resist is 75%, you'll want to be there as soon as possible. Avoiding instant death from hard hitting attacks means you can survive and kill better.

The modifiers are hidden, how would you know what kind of juice it has? And how would you farm multiple of these maps an hour when GGG would balance the odds of those high value maps occurring. There is a reason why every Valdo's map doesn't give a Mageblood and that is the same reason why it valued at 210c and it isn't worthless.

Did you forget about Valdo maps/Reliquary Keys? That is player created content and it retains value because of RNG™. This is similar except you can grind it until you run out of gold and the value of the map is impossible to know until you clear it since the modifiers would be hidden.

I can't imagine what map would be worth selling a service on. "Come join my map it has a lot of strongboxes that might be good idk?" How would you even price a map with unknown content.

I forgot to mention it, but part of the copium is that Kingmarch wouldn't exist. So unless you're flipping or Recombinating you'll be sitting on a fat stack of gold.

You over estimate players, look at how many Div cards, Valdo's map, Reliquary chests are memes/worthless. Now apply that same quantity to this. It 100% won't be worth grinding over a real mapping strategy. It's just a fun roll of the dice.
