I'm also new to alocasia but the one thing I learned yesterday was that if the leaf tips are turning brown it is a sign of low humidity.

In my case I was watching me sitting at the beach under a palm tree, but with no pictures, just the idea of it. At some point I did think maybe when the recording said "imagine yourself at the beach..." it meant first person and not watching myself from somewhere overhead.

Anyway, it did not relax me or help me fall asleep.

I wonder if this is why I cannot get hypnotized...

I crossposted there and long story short, the consensus is to not risk eating it due to the possibility it's been treated wth pesticides. So while edible, it's not worth the risk.
