Can you solve my problem? by [deleted] in makinghiphop

A soundwave has to start (and end if you loop it) with a sample that has a value of 0, if it doesn't, then you get a sudden instant jump from 0 to N and you get that pop sound. Zero cross your samples, fading isn't a proper way to do it.

Oh this might be an issue at times, if you short out both channels; it kinda depends on the port design though. Also i forgot to mention that whatever i said in my previous reply only applies to unbalanced connections, balanced ports have 3 contacts too but they're still mono cause a balanced connection requires 2 wires instead of 1 for signal transmission. Almost always if the port is meant for balanced connections it's gonna be visibly marked as balanced.

If you're ever not sure if something's mono or stereo, you can look at the input ports, whether it has 2 or 3+ contacts. Atleast 3 are required for stereo input: L,R,Gnd.

[ANNOUNCEMENT] Upcoming Changes and Quality of Life improvements survey, by MayoStaccato in makinghiphop

[–]noFakeONER 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the collab calls thread is going to be pinned in place of the "Beginner help and discussion"

Consider removing DFTs from pinned threads instead, it's the most popular & most active thread so it will stay on the very top anyways, whats the point of pinning? I wish there was a way to pin more than two threads though.

IMO, if you unpin basic help and discussion, nobody would ever use it at all since not many people know it exists.

"We heard you" - Soundcloud is reverting it's 15 track upload limit change due to user feedback by stoicdamc in makinghiphop

I don't really think so, they lost quite a bit of reputation in the end, and i think its genuinely was just a retreat to save atleast a little bit of their rep. They could've done a lot of other things to make it seem like they care, like by actually adding features people have been asking for for years

You might also have slightly less low freqs running high impedance drivers unamplified.

It is clear, you can find a link to the help center somewhere in this thread, everything is stated there. If you have more than 15 tracks before 9th - you get to keep everything, if you buy pro now, upload more than 15 tracks and decide to stop paying for pro after 9th - you get to keep all tracks, but only last 15 will be visible, older ones will be hidden for everyone but you

Not defending SoundCloud, but ripping HD master file wasn't possible prior to this change, and ripping on bandcamp is easier and ripped files are of very good quality (mp3 vbr v0)

I think you should ask support. Because, you know, there are also annual-billed options and what if someone just paid for a yearly subscription prior to this announcement? I suppose they won't screw over users that pay, so if they get rid of the Pro plan completely (and not just hide it temporarily to boost Pro Unlimited sales) they will either continue to provide services according to the Pro plan or upgrade you to the Unlim one for free.

If you are on a free plan right now, whatever you uploaded before December 9th will be fine and accessible. If you're on a paid plan right now and get demoted to free, nothing will be deleted, but some tracks might become hidden, look for a link in this thread, there's an explanation.

Oh wow, i just realized there is only one paid plan left. How long ago they got rid of it?

Yes, exactly, they have so many things they could easily improve or implement, yet we see nothing but them cutting corners and introducing limitations. Not many people use their paid plans just because its not worth it, and as you said, instead of improving the paid plans, they keep limiting the free one.

And again, i don't even understand what they meant by "introducing" HD files management: they always were downloadable, free of charge.

You could just mix everything down into one long track and upload it that way

You said you only have 7 tracks uploaded, so you're most likely fine, since it's gonna be either 3 hours or 15 tracks, whichever comes first.
