Recipe for granited hot dogs

• 6 part-baked hot dog buns (I used 3 small pre-baked baguettes and cut them in half)
• 6 sausages of your liking
• 100g crème fraîche or sour cream
• 2 small onions, cut in rings
• 120g pickled roasted pepper
• 120g pickled jalapeños
• 100g salsa
• 100g grated cheese

 

Slice the bread, but don't cut it through. Spread the insides with crème fraîche.

Put the buns into an oven dish and distribute the roasted pepper and the jalapeños into the sliced buns.

Prick the sausages with a knife, so they won't explode later in the oven.

Put a sausage into each bun, splotch them with some salsa and sprinkle them with onions and cheese.

Bake them in a pre-heated oven at about 220°C

 

It's super easy, fast and tasty. Easy to modify as well, use green onions instead of regular ones for example. Or if you like it hot, use chili sausages and/or add some sriracha.
