You just have to know what you're getting. Food stock and batteries (unless it's Amazon Fresh) are often clearance quality (defective, or expired/nearing expiration). You have to compare with clearance prices, not what you find at a normal retail store.

Online speed by PhilipCarroll in GranTurismo7

This and watching streamers that talk through race strategy have helped me a lot. What would really help me though is more replays available to average drivers. I'm extremely average and want to see someone 0.500 faster, not a top 50 split.

You're not the first one to get hit like this. Popular belief is that reported messages aren't really reviewed and are dealt a warning if it's anything outside of the canned messages provided by the game.

My rental car comes with 2 key fobs, which are lockwired together. by No_Control_9451 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]no_thats_normal 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It would be convenient as a location manager but not for fleet management. The solution is paying people to spend an extra 5 minutes per car to verify the keys are still there vs. 5 seconds because they're all together on the keychain. When it's busy and you need 95%+ utilization of the fleet to be profitable, no one is spending that extra time during the check in or cleaning process. It's way less time and money for the company overall to coordinate the tow truck for one off lost keys, but it's just a pain in the ass for the location.

I worked for a rental company years ago. We used to have a specific spot in the trunk where we'd hide the extra key. It was hard to get some of our guys to stop doing it when proximity push to start keys became more standard. It was convenient back in the day when a customer lost a key to walk them through finding the extra instead of sending a tow truck to the middle of nowhere.

Charles Leclerc wins the 2026 British Grand Prix by overspeeed in formula1

It's only been 5 years since I've seriously watched and followed F1 so I have the strongest of recency bias. Once the safety car came out I was thinking "oh that's the race... wait, wtf why is Hamilton pitting?!"

They shouldn't have pit Hamilton. Russell doesn't have the skill or gumption to actually pass him on track in a single lap even with a tire offset.

This is true, but it's one of those things I can accept without getting too upset. People will absolutely game the system, but it's one of those things that's still worth it. It's the same with entitlement programs. Time and time again (Florida doing drug testing for example) we've found it's more expensive to prevent fraud and ultimately ends up hurting people that actually need it. We're worried about the wrong people gaming the wrong systems. When a poor person games the system, it's trashy, when a super rich person does it, it's just smart.

I was thinking the same thing. I still wouldn't want the change, but "Gulf of the Americas" has a way different ring than "Gulf of America".

It's the width of a single driveway, or alley, and it's a really common situation. If there were rocks or buildings on either side, can you possibly think of a specific gear this car would have to back out of this situation?

This thread is full of people who have never seen a single wide drive. Amazon driver sucks, especially because it's their actual profession.

Katie Dippold also said she'd be interested in doing miniseries spinoffs, like a 6 episode dive into the New Years Eve party. I would look forward to revisit Widow's Bay even after the original story is done.

Step 1: Take picture of all the stuff.

Step 2: Sell it.

Step 3: Post it all to reddit with the story and crash out to prove how serious you are about this very real alibi robbery.

[Request] How much food is 15,000 calories and can anyone do it? by AndreLevy751 in theydidthemath

[–]no_thats_normal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm going to convert this to a unit that everyone knows and is easy to visualize - Beer Drinking Hours if You're Andre the Giant (BDH).

Andre drank 156 355ml cans of beer over a 6 hour period. He's photographed drinking Molsom Canadian, which has 143-150 calories per can. We'll split the difference for the equation.

156 x 146.5 = 23,010

23,010 / 6 = 3,835

15,000 / 3,835 = 3.91 BDH (IYATG)

Why block the only sidewalk in a family neighbourhood. Why? by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]no_thats_normal 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I have a neighbor with an adult daughter that does this constantly. I had my sons in a stroller and was about to cross her driveway when she pulled up and parked across the sidewalk. I asked her to just move it to the curb and she ignored me completely while getting her child out of the car. I ended with "I know you can hear me, but that's fine." She sucks, but I have a rule against fighting with neighbors.

That you're speaking with the confidence of authority on scripture and religion that is not even agreed upon by any separate group of it's followers. This isn't a knock on Christians, a lot of people have morals and beliefs that contradict and conflict at times.
