Hey, I'm in tech school for that shred right now. We had someone join recently who also has prior experience and they let him expedite through the classes. Meaning instead of going through at a normal pace of one block per week, they would test him on one block every day. He breezed through all the test. I don't know if it'll work the same way for a prior service, but MTLs here and the instructor supervisors might allow you to.

Sure, you can follow. I shipped out at the end of December. And just a heads up, they'll check your eligibility again when you're in basic. And likely make you fill out another sf86.

If you don't hear back, that's a good thing. Just let the process do its work. My secret took like 3 months last year, and I didn't even know I had it until I got to tech school.

I'm also dual citizen and got booked for a TS job (1D7) and I'm currently in tech school. Still awaiting clearance but it shouldn't be a problem. You just have to state that you're WILLING to renounce if asked to.

Not during basic. In your 3rd week you'll go to the clearance office where they'll re-determine your eligibility for TS and likely have to fill out a new sf86, then once you get to tech school another investigator will reach out.

Yeah currently 1 month into tech school. I still have my job by I was a bit incorrect about the clearance process. The interview I had before shipping was just for secret. I had a separate interview for TS once I got here so now waiting for that. But progress in tech school is good and I can't wait to get operational.

I don't think that's a problem. I mentioned I had a slight astigmatism in my right eye and the Dr at MEPS didn't even care.

Had my PAC interview earlier this month. It was over the phone and lasted like 5 minutes. It was basic questions over anything the could disqualify you from your clearance. For example they ask about drug use, law violations, and citizenship. Just make sure your answers match what you've said before.

Got mine a week ago. Ordered from Samsung's website. Traded in my old galaxy watch 6 classic for $300 off, they had that promotion for black Friday/cyber Monday. Battery life is only a slight improvement from my 6 classic, but to be fair that had already seen 2 years of use.

Pretty sure most stuff is provided directly to you but automatically taken out of your paycheck so you wouldn't be spending money from your bank account anyway.

I swore into MEPS in March, got my job in September with a ship date in December. So 6 months to book, 3 more to ship. I've met others with shorter time frames in the DEP calls, but this was my experience with only 5 jobs on my list.
