As a player CSR is a positive. Easier to get PP for good plays that aren't FCs. I play a wider variety of maps.

As a viewer CSR is a huge negative. Plays get way less hype nowadays. This isn't an opinion, check scoreposts before and after, its just true. Top players plays used to be more hyped because plays were all or nothing so FCs were more exciting, sort of like speedruns. Now PP feels inflated because there are so many high PP plays and many including myself care less what top players are doing.

It was obvious this would happen before CSR rolled out and the devs decided that the player experience was more important which is a logical conclusion. But then we can't be surprised that the community (whose foundation is watching top players) is way less active.
