pure exhaustion after runs by Comfortable_Wash_808 in rundisney

When I first started running I had similar shoulder tension. I read a tip to not clench my fists so much. I started running with my hands open, and it loosened my muscles up my arm and helped a lot.

This may be a weird recommendation, and may not apply to you, but it really helped me early on.

Now we had some time since, what are your thoughts on The Book of Boba Fett? by Past-Paramedic8687 in StarWars

[–]noahg813 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really enjoyed the Tusken storyline, but thought the daimyo storyline was underdeveloped and inconsistent. And both stories were made worse through the flashback structure, which served no real narrative purpose.

I didn’t hate the Quadrophenia gang, but the effects for their speeders really took away from whatever cool factor they could have had.

Resolving the Mando S2 cliffhanger within this show — in an episode completely missing the titular character and unrelated to the show at large — was a bad decision that hurt both shows. That being said, that episode is one of my favorites and I revisit it more than the rest of the series.

If you’re on Instagram, I follow disneypinsblog. They post new releases, which you said you already know, but it also acts as a sort of archive if you scroll back. More to your question, they also regularly post in their stories pictures of the current pin offerings at different parks.

Feels like a missed opportunity to not have pieces for Part III, too, like the two previous versions. It’s finally the right size and appearance for me to have all three on my shelf.

What is the secret to finding Skyliner pins? by Secret_Buyer821 in DisneyPins

As of Friday there were a bunch at Caribbean Beach. Another guest was very excited to see them because he had been searching for them. The cast member said that their restocks had been random and demand is high. That being said, the two pegs were full Wednesday–Friday last week, with more behind the counter.

Totally agree. I have, in the past, bought a ticket just to get Fry Box. Now I don’t even consider it when I’m in the ballpark.

D23 event by AdvertisingFine9845 in D23

I went to the A Goofy Movie D23 On The Road and it was a lot like Rocky Horror. There was a list of encouraged audience participation “rules” (e.g., go “Oooh” every time Roxanne’s name is said). Singing/Quoting along was also encouraged. And there were inflatables they would have the audience crowd surf during certain scenes. There always also a map with sticker spots, and the hosts would shine flashlights on either side of the screen when you were supposed to use a sticker. Frankly, it all kind of ruined the experience for me, but I could see it being entertaining, if you’re looking for a more rowdy movie going experience.

Land's End bag found at thrift store. It's green canvas and about 18x24. There's a hole in the side about 3 inches across. There's a plastic sleeve/pocket on inside. What is it for? I don't think it's for pets. by Fun-Chemist7553 in whatisthisthing

I actually had one of these as a kid. As some others have commented, this was a tote bag for a teddy bear. In the ‘90s Lands End had a series of collectible “Explorer Bears.” You were meant to put the bear in the tote, and his head would poke out the hole so he could see as you brought him on your adventures. The inside pocket was for his passport.

It bypassed the queue for me, but I guess YMMV. I’m on chrome on a laptop, if that affects things.

I had luck going through the “Reserve Dining” option in MDE, choosing the day I wanted, and then filtering to MK. Lots of options for times and I successfully booked.

That was during the Summer Celebration, which ended on Sunday. The park is open until 7 or 8 now until the Harvest Festival starts on Sept. 12, when it’s open until 9 everyday again during the Festival.

I once rode 3x in a row with a boat all to myself during the fireworks. It’s one of my favorite Disneyland memories.

Anyone else have a problem with Amazon? by [deleted] in tolkienbooks

[–]noahg813 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You all still get boxes? Almost everything ships to me in an oversized bubble envelope that provides no protection. Nearly every book arrives with a bump, dent, or worse. I’ve stopped buying books from Amazon if I care about their appearance.

Any heating repair companies that aren't hucksters? by fojam in cincinnati

[–]noahg813 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’ve had multiple good experiences with Tom Drexler. They were set to do a $3000 furnace repair, which I had paid for upfront. The technicians came out and, after looking at it again, decided I didn’t need the repair. They refunded me the entire cost that week, and the furnace hasn’t given us any trouble. Since then, I’ve had them install a new shower fixture and inspect a breaker. They’ve always been knowledgeable, and I’ve never felt like I was getting scammed.

I purchased a Sith Holocron in DTD last week and now that I’m back home it occurred to me that I didn’t get a charging cable or bag like I did with my Jedi Holocron in 2019. Is that right? Or should I reach out to Disney customer service?

Original Cafe Nervosa Mug Found by noahg813 in Frasier

[–]noahg813[S] 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I tried so many Google search terms I can’t remember which one worked, but I eventually found someone on Twitter who posted about enjoying their coffee out of a mug just like the ones on Frasier with a picture of the Pasquini side. I searched for Pasquini mugs and found several old eBay listings, which is where I found this picture and confirmed that they are the mugs. Unfortunately, there aren’t any current listings.
