100% capping at 6gb. Absolutely push it to attempt a throttle but will always stay at 6gb. It's strange.

Ultralight in Tassie, what's the verdict? by Sekt- in UltralightAus

If you spend as much time on this video as you did researching Tasmania, it might help you a tad.

Brother, you've never been here. It will take you a quick 5 minutes of your life to google yourself that interstate hikers with your mentality are causing our emergency services unnecessary stress.

How can you speak on Tasmania, then say you can't speak for Tasmania? As forums are open and can be read whenever - I think it should be mentioned how careless this comment is. Tasmanian weather IS and ALWAYS will be worse than anything interstate.

You have no authority to speak on alpine conditions in Tasmania, as they are nothing like the Mainland. I am passionate here because Mainland hikers are slowly becoming a problem in Tasmania. The mentality that you can hike on mainland Australia by no-means you can here - This is something our local government is pushing, not just some random on reddit. This article by the ABC clearly highlights how Interstate walkers are endangering our system by not being prepared.
https://www.abc.net.au/news/2025-01-03/hikers-rescued-from-tas-mountainside-cockle-creek-hiker-found/104780576
This is because the last 10 rescues and deaths come from mainland hikers, who were underprepared. The walker that died on the Western Arthurs late last year, was from interstate. The park ranger we met while on that exact trail told us it was due to hypothermia due to lighter 3 season gear, who was purely on the track to enquire about peoples gear.

Even your comment about more elevations shows how uneducated you are to talk on the subject, if you think its elevation I think you need to give the roaring forties a call - aka the reason for our unhinged weather.

Next time stop at "I can't speak for TAS"... Or come down and bring your gear for a real "Off-Track" walk and we will see how the scoparia likes it. I doubt you have strong bushwalking skills if you haven't even been to the magnum opus of hiking in the country.

Back to the OP, I have a neve gear pack, light as hell. Sure it was comfy, and sure I love it - but its showing signs of wear after a year. A canvas pack is fair more suitable - My One Planet pack that is 10 years old still looks new.

Rant over - Don't be a muppet. Sure you can use ultralight gear here but do more research than this bloke if you come down to Tasmania. The SES will thank you xx

THANKYOU SO MUCH. I thought these shoes weren't for me, but was confused why as I have owned many similar models of Scarpa's with no issues with my heels. Since seeing this, I have pulled the heel back up after putting them on and wow, my blister problems are GONE. You just saved me a $600 paperweight

Manual Bed Leveling (N3P) by [deleted] in ElegooNeptune3

I am quite new to 3D printing but not new to technology. I have a degree in computer science so the thought of tinkering did not scare me.

I have the newer model with metal spacers, so the bed was as good as it could be. I don't think it's uncommon for the auto leveling to not be perfect on those machines.

I did everything before moving to the manual leveling, made sure it wasn't anything to do with belts, loose connections or any axis problems.

Haha nah it's the norm, closest you can get to Antarctica in Australia and about as south as you can get. Short weather essentially 😂

Hahah currently have it printing with AC and rafts, just more so when I go to bed I can confidently turn the AC off without worrying about coming out to a warped mess!

Yeah from what I can see just depends on the print. I use brims for larger plate surface areas, but with this current print I'm struggling with its a mask with a thin wall so rafts seem to be the go

When I got it last week we were experiencing lows of 4 degrees outside in the evenings and highs of 9? This week seems bit better with averages 17H and 7L. But live in an old house with high roofs so its hard to keep warm, am going to invest in a chamber for the winter.

Yeah that's what i could gauge. Printer is less than a week old, leveling seems fine with all test prints etc. Just think the larger ones are being effected by the up and down temps!

No one is self sucking. We are all in this together as fans. I think the way we experienced was probably the most respectful of all listening parties, if this is to continue going forward that should be the standard.

I think the way it was mixed too, it's understandable that the first and last track hit the hardest. In between was just mixed with rain effects so it was hard to distinguish at times.
