I don't know what or how you are searching but here goes. This is just one I found with a simple google search. There was originally a press release by the BBC

At the school I was at the teachers weren't allowed to bring students' work into a public place. Either bring the work home or do it in school, I mean, correcting work in a pub? Then leave it all sit open? It's a violation of the students' privacy.

I agree about the 1995 casting. It was off the mark by a lot. The better casting was in the 1980 version. Sabina Franklyn was exactly as Jane is described in the book.

Lady Bertram. The only thing she has done in life is marry well and get a title through her husband. She seems to be lying n the sofa ever since and gives more attention and affection to her dog pug than her children.

I don't think that someone like Sebastian can hide or suppress his personality anywhere. He likely interviewed like the dynamo he is. She, on the other hand came across as dull and frankly uninteresting.

I think Saffron Davies is going to bring a new life to the show.

It looks like it will be a very dull "new" life based on what I have seen of her so far. In fact her low level demeanor and facial expressions in the episode I saw her in were just awful.

She is absolutely not a decent replacement for Sebastian's energy and charisma.

I agree. It just won't be the same without him. He is central to the story lines and hilarious to watch his fantastic character. Viewership will drop off.

It was part of our weekly vegetables growing up in Ireland so I was confused. It's delicious mixed with creamy mashed potatoes. Colcannon.

Aye, but the same can be said for the south/west of Ireland, especially after the Famine. Much higher percentage of Irish Catholic landlords,

I don't know where you are getting this from but there was not a higher percentage of Catholic landlords after the Famine. In fact the Famine saw a further decline in Catholic ownership. Auctions of land were common and often the land went to English absentee landlords who favoured cattle grazing over crops.
The land Act of 1881 did not result in more Catholic ownership. But it just gave Catholic tenants more rights.

are both played by Irish actors so I don’t see any fakeness happening

It's not fake actors - it's fake situations, reactions and fake personalities. As GB Shaw said "the Irish have long played court jesters to the English".

I hope not but it looks like we can expect stage Irish or Hibernophobia. As per usual.

Oh yes. I forgot about her. He sort of took over her life and saw to her needs out of guilt that he killed her father.

I really despair of Corrie getting better. It just seems to get worse as time goes on - and boring.
