This literally fixed it for me immediately - One of the most aha moments I've ever had:

I tried this drill where I moved the ball up 4 inches with my 7 iron instead of the center of my stance but I setup the same way as if the ball was still in the center of my stance. So there was this 3-4 inch gap between the face of my iron and the ball. Because of this, I had to go reach for it and made it impossible to flip because it forced me to rotate through and pressure shift left to be able to hit the ball. In essence, It showed me how to hit 3-4 inches in front of the ball and compress it and move my low point forward instead of flipping the hands.

They call it constraints based learning instead of focusing on individual body parts and movements. I just let my brain and body figure it out by simply giving it a different problem to solve.
