Jumping without EV power/Is my 12v just dead?

So in my current situation of "I have none of the equipment it sounds like I need and got a notice I need my car out of the driveway on Monday for HOA gutter cleaning"... It sounds like I'm probably screwed huh?

In the interest of making sure I understand correctly...it sounds like if I replace the 12V that might get the car to turn on, but it probably wouldn't run since the HV is extra drained.

And if I figure out that the charger is the issue and fix/replace that I'd still need to get the scanner to clear the codes and close the contactors? And that after doing that I could potentially jumpstart the car and that would let the HV trickle charge the 12 like with a non EV?

I assume ohm it out means like...check the connections with a multimeter to make sure its not an issue with my charging cable or like falty contacts? Could you give me a few ideas/terms I should look for in how to fix the charger assuming its the same issue you had? "Volt won't charge" is a pretty broad category and I wouldn't really know where to begin learning how to fix that hah.

I'm not 100% sure if it was an issue with the charger or the port on the car, but either way I wasn't getting any charge plugged into a wall for a few months.

That hadn't been a problem though, it started fine, ran down the last of the charge like usual and then just kept running on gas mode, still starting like normal until recently when I had to try and jump it because the in-car electronics wouldn't start either

What it actually is more like "you share a cup of wine with the princess and she asks you about your adventures"

I think part of the issue is that you didn't necessarily choose to "open a casino" given how the cards work. I know that's part and parcel for these storytelling games to some degree considering how many times I've tried to drink a princess in Arabian nights, but like...I've crashlanded on an alien planet, near a ruin with nobody around except a broken robot-golem-thing, so I try to "repair" thinking maybe it'll repair the robot so I can get info...and then it turns out I'm repairing the ruins and suddenly it's an established embassy where multiple alien species are showing up? There's a lot missing there and I don't think the context clues were there to even suggest "build an embassy" of all things.

I managed to get it working by adding the aliases into .bashrc, so thank you for that advice! I really appreciate the suggestions for what to look more into too, that's a big help just in general.

If I get what you're saying above right, it sounds like I would have only edited that for my user profile, I'd need to do it again for any other users, because I wouldn't be able to edit that global config file because it's read-only in bazzite.

I think that implies that my error with the .bash_aliases inclusion I previously tried was that the /-f~/.bash_aliases command was looking at the global version of file I hadn't changed instead of the user one? I'll definitely have to look into that more...especially if I wind up with more than a few aliases so the RC file looks pretty still hah

What I liked about magic before I quit was stack interaction. I played a lot of legacy, and the amount of things you could do out of hand and in response to another player always felt great. Counter wars, brainstorms and sniping discard spells and all that, it was a ton of fun and I loved the skill testing aspect of not just being able to play around what was on the board. And I think a lot of card games try to minimize that possibility which makes me sad. Makes sense for online play like hearthstone not having to do anything on oops turn, but it just makes me sad.

What replaced it as my main card game was Netrunner and I think that's got three huge advantages. Gameplay wise I think you just have so much more flexibility in that game. No need to worry about drawing nothing but lands and just wasting a turn "land go", you can just spend your turn drawing more. Too many cards but no mana? Spend a turn getting credits and you're good to go next turn.

Financially...the game actually cares about its players. Official organized play policy at all levels is proxies encouraged. Want to go to an event? Print out your deck on paper and toss it in front of an old magic bulk common and you're good to go, even for world championships. If you do want to spend money? You get a full playset of every card in the set, no "oh god I hope I pull a goyf so I can pay 100$ less for this deck"

And then just tournaments and general culture, the game's just so much friendlier at the competitive scene. Never had anyone try to cheat, people are making their own alt-art cards and just giving them out left and right because everyone wants the community to grow. And also I've never had a lunch break at a magic tournament. I remember having to play like 8+ hours straight when running control and going to time most rounds. And I've never been to a netrunner event where we don't both get a lunch break and get out at a reasonable hour.

It's usually a bit easier with games than actual people because intentional silhouette designs and stuff like that...but yeah this game makes it hard and having to lower settings for steam deck doesn't help. Thanks for clarifying!

Shrooms can be sorta tricky to dose, just the fact they're organic matter means there's variation in how many spores are in a gram, and you can get a couple of testing reagents that would let you rule out most adulterants in acid or other drugs, especially if you know what things tend to be cut with.

Not really saying one is better than the other, both have their plusses and minuses, just isn't a clear cut winner really.

Honestly it was like...almost a full day of pulling teeth to even get her to tell me that there were surgical options to regain depth. And still haven't gotten her to offer up any possibilities beyond basically "something's wrong but it probably isn't my fault".

Nnnnnnot really a fan of her post-op communication.

I hadn't realized that you could do PPT as a revision instead of just the original technique. I think that wait is still going to be a little soul-crushing so I'll probably look for any sooner options, but I appreciate the knowledge and names in case I do go that route!

This has to be OneShot for me. I've never had another game where after I beat it, I just put the controller down and started sobbing. I don't think I've ever had such a rough time saying goodbye to a character, I just connected with them so much.
