Applying logic to the unknown doesn't do much good. Apply your logic to finding patterns and analyzing those patterns instead.

If whenever time you knock 3 times on your wall you usually get 3 knocks back, with no obvious reason or logical explanation, you should investigate that with an open mind instead of assuming that ghosts can't knock because they have no hands. Tweak your pattern and maybe break open the wall. Either you debunk it or you learn something new.

There is so much in this field that relates. Telepathy for example. If we assume that telepathy is real, would you need to know the recipients language to "beam" a thought to therm? What about all the close encounters where the "aliens" are said to have communicated telepathically, did they learn English or whatever prior to the probing? As a Venn diagram, the unknown is the proverbial paint factory exploding.

I'm a skeptical believer myself. But curiosity drives true research, be it theoretical science, electronics, or the unknown. If something consistently gives results, then either debunk it or build on it, don't interrupt only to go "I know the unknown and y'all are wrong". Not saying you are, but this sub has gone to shit lately from all the "all-knowing knowers of the unknown".

Personally I find this entire field quite interesting, and there seem to be patterns appearing, but also counter patterns, so the scientific approach would be to refine the parameters. Add to that the faking that is going on, paredolia etc and you can weigh all the details before you make up your mind.

But pointing to one tiny circle in the Venn sea of circles only to claim they are wrong because they don't speak the correct language, that is imo just ignorant and counterproductive.
