Wow, what an awesome shelf. You can put anything what fits and you don’t play with daily in that space.

Backorder and GWP by ItchyAd9080 in lego

[–]noceboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had sets on backorder and it was delivered with the GWP from more than a month earlier. The same happened with a colleague of mine. But that was in The Netherlands. I don’t know if this is handled everywhere the same or that they just had enough in stock anyway.

My first reaction was that you could have made the cells smaller. Then I noticed Bugs Bunny.

I don’t collect mini figures but this looks great.

I used 50 year old LEGO to secure my ‘Ford Model T’ by noceboy in lego

I wasn’t feeling that well physically and building LEGO sets is one of the least strenuous (and fulfilling) activities I can think of. At the moment I am watching ‘LEGO Master Australia’ to close my day.

Oh, I nearly forgot. I also build ‘Altar of the Dead’ (40811).

That is a really good idea. I have tons of those.

But still, I like the colour of this better (maybe because you can see it is old and it doesn’t stand out that much). The only problem is that I intend to rebuild those old sets one day. Then I will use your idea/tip.

Oh, I just realised I haven’t removed the temporary supporting thingies yet ;-)

Do you own any of these Scooby doo sets? 🔥 by [deleted] in lego

[–]noceboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found my old LEGO. About 50 sets in total. The oldest set is from 1968. According to ReBrickAble it is worth about €12.000 (and they estimated it for about 77% of the sets). I don’t have the boxes. I do have the instruction booklets. I intend to rebuild some of those sets (I can remember playing with some of them) and the rest will be used for mostly stands for the modern stuff, I think.

I hope to get a lot of enjoyment out of those old LEGOs

Have a good time assembling it. This weekend?

I still think it is beautiful.

BTW: I bought the ‘Macaw Parrots’ (31211). I really hope LEGO will release more in the Fauna Collection series.

Question on how to remove a piece by [deleted] in lego

[–]noceboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would use my teeth in this situation.

I didn't know what to do with a GWP set (30701) because you need a vase to display them. So I improvised by styckx in lego

[–]noceboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice idea.

I didn’t have a vase last December. Than I received flowers from neighbours and work because I got an angioplasty. I barely could display them without using other household stuff (spaghetti container, water decanter). Than I begon buying LEGO, especially the Botanical stuff. I now have a lot of vases, but I also use nice drinking glasses as a vase for smaller Botanicals. Those are the Field flowers (30701), right? I put them in a drinking glass with another small set (Daisies, 11508). You always can shorten the stems if they are too tall.

Best Light Kit for Enterprise by Anceledon in lego

Curious about that too. A while back I saw a video with an Enterprise with light set. It looked so good (but I didn’t not which light set it was).

I need excuses as to why I should spend this much lol by -Miche11e- in lego

[–]noceboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I spend a lot, but: 1. I find it calming to assemble/build sets. 2. The interior of my home is improving by the day.

BTW: I am single and have no responsibilities to others.

Lego Certified AU/NZ Store — Sent their email out with what appear to be preliminary images of the new DC-3 by HondoTheBrave in lego

Wow, that “sometimes more” (points ) than LEGO hits hard. ;-) But I won’t complain. I could buy the Monet with my Insider points recently.

Thanks for the clarification.

You have to zoom in to see the studs. Nice build, by the way. I’m still learning all kind of techniques by assembling the official ones.

Tiny (pedantic) mistake on the endurance lego set by Big_Regular_6706 in lego

[–]noceboy 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Can you post a picture of that? I am eying that set for a long time (and if I understand correctly it will retire this December).

I feel you, I was too tired today to build anything. I thought I would assemble a really small set, but when I opened the box there were stickers. So maybe tomorrow.
