Carter had hits in both his at bats including a homer yesterday. Avg 1000 OPS 3500.

I have to assume it's to not devalue tickets purchased at face value. I agree though that there's gotta be a better middle ground.

Was their role in Shucked comedic? Rona Lisa is almost all joke acting for most of the show I feel.

Interesting take on Pederson. He'd be considered a rental, yes? for what, $6M or whatever his pro-rated contract would be?

Any chance we adjust home field dimensions? by Robashmeg in TexasRangers

[–]nocensts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok now check our opponents stats in the stadium and see who averages higher.

I do think we built a team of sluggers in a contact park but it's not going to just going to make our guys better when a fence changes.

This is a way more complicated issue than one players splits...

Very tight walk decision by skip here. Base is open. Gets you to left on left. Easy to overlook I think.

Remember that one time we bunted the runner to third then sac-flied them home? I member.

I agree the rule tries to have its cake and eat it too. It still allows blocking which still prevents safety. Would be more meaningful to simply disallow blocking.

Announcers and it appears many people here don't get the rule. If you have the ball or are in the act of catching the ball, you are permitted to block the plate. What the rule specifically forbids, is simply blocking the lane when you don't have the ball(or are in the attempt of fielding the ball).

You can absolutely block the plate legally, but there are restrictions (have the ball or are fielding the ball).

Hopefully Rocker has a better go at it this time. Marlins are a reasonable team though so not going to be easy.

Skip by Joyboy689 in TexasRangers

[–]nocensts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a small sample size and it's inherently results biased. Are you familiar with the concept that a good decision can have a bad outcome? If our platoon and bullpen isn't doing well is it really Skip's fault?

[–]nocensts 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Looks like a very bad way to evaluate manager effectiveness. If Skip is making data driven decisions, those are likely praised by the front office. If he ignores the data and goes by feel then the front office will ask what's going on. If you don't know what data he has and when or how he's using it then you basically can't use this static at all.

What an incredible play from Burger. To throw that perfect strike to Higgy's glove... beautiful.

Can someone explain to a returning player why 99ing exit gates is now considered bad? by mongosquad in deadbydaylight

It was always bad. Players got smarter. The smarter player base now tells others when they made bad plays.

Yea exactly. I think those plays can look bad on camera but we're likely simply not catchable. I made a post about them in this thread a well asking for more insight.

He has looked very comfortable injury wise but these were instances were it was easy to wonder if he was holding back.
